Andrew Baxley’s Film Room: ’27s, ’28s, & ’29s Part 2

He had a solid Summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2078724' first='Carolina' last='Pressure'] 2027, who often played up in the 16U Division at Grassroots Events. Ethan has the foundation of a solid overall Wing, but stood out as a transition finisher and as a spot-up shooter in particular. Foster was very active in filling lanes and did a nice job of using his size to score at the rim in the full court. Graham navigates tight spaces in full-court pressure and near bodies around the paint extremely well. He is comfortable with both hands because his primary dribbling and finishing hand is his left hand but his jump-shooting hand is his right hand. Most of his highlight tape showed off his shooting ability. Johnson is a very good shooter and is comfortable all around the arc and off the catch or off the dribble. Nolan is also unafraid when attacking the paint and is composed finishing around bigger defenders, dumping off to a teammate, and playing off two feet. Hoops Summer Slam and his film backed up my notes. He is a scrappy guard who is a terrific offensive rebounder and a strong scorer around the paint. Pierre is comfortable playing off the ball because of his consistent perimeter shooting, secondary playmaking, and high work rate. He had some very impressive moments scoring off the dribble on his highlights from the Francis Marion Team Camp this July. Mitchell has a spring in his step when the ball is in his hands and is more than capable of rising above a shot contest. He showed a solid combination of shooting and feel as well as positional size for a young PG. Andre has range that extends well beyond the three-point line and is comfortable pulling up or spotting up from the perimeter.
