The second full week of August is here, meaning that the new academic school year is coming soon. The senior class is set to make an impact on the hardwood in their final varsity season, especially in the frontcourt. Here are the 2025 under the radar power forward prospects to track.

[player_tooltip player_id='1945618' first='Jayshon' last='Williams'], 6'5 Covenant College Prep

Williams is doing a postgrad season season at Covenant College Prep and has the potential to have a strong 2024-25 season. The 6'5 forward is a force on the boards and holds his ground on the defensive end. Williams runs the floor hard, setting himself up for easy layups and jumpers in transition. He sets strong screens in the halfcourt and uses his strong frame to get position down low. Williams is a physical forward prospect who should make his impact felt around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2107865' first='Adiel' last='Fred'], 6'7 Paul VI

Fred has the ability to play the five as well, making him an intriguing prospect to watch in the class. The 6'7 forward has a nice touch around the basket and is able to finish through contact. Fred can also put the ball on the floor and rarely forces jumpers in the halfcourt. He works hard for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his timing to influence shots on the defensive end. Fred's ability to control the paint at both ends of the floor is something that will help his stock over the next couple of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='1919189' first='Cameron' last='James'], 6'5 Ewing

James has established himself as one of the top forwards in Mercer County and should put it on display this season. The 6'5 forward knows how to get position down low and finishes nicely around the basket. James is unafraid of drawing contact and has an underrated handle. He is tough to boxout on the offensive glass and plays with great energy on the defensive end. James is a hard-working forward prospect who should make an impact in the paint throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2107788' first='Chukwudi' last='Mamah'], 6'7 Timothy Christian

Mamah has had a big spring and is looking to carry it over into the winter. The 6'7 forward explodes off the floor for dunks and is able to draw contact in the paint. Mamah is a good passer out of the post and moves well without the ball in his hands. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and challenges shots around the rim. Mamah's versatility is something that will help his development in a big way over the next couple of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2348974' first='Manny' last='Doku'], 6'5 Holy Cross Prep

Doku was a double-double machine last season for the Lancers and should continue to do so in 2024-25. The 6'5 forward knows how to get position in the paint and finishes through contact. Doku has shown the ability to play on the perimeter as he can put the ball on the floor and has a high release on his free throws. He rips down rebounds at both ends of the floor and uses his length to make plays on the defensive end. Doku had 12 double-doubles last season and should eclipse that mark in his senior season.
