(205) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2511498' first='Tyson' last='Shivers'] (Boone)

Shivers may be a bit undersized from a traditional big man perspective, but his athleticism makes up for the lack of ideal size. He's a bouncy 6-2/6-3 forward who uses that athleticism to compete on the glass in a major way as well as serve as a strong rim protector. He averaged 8.4 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game as a junior for the Toreadors.

(239) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2394706' first='Samuel' last='Howland'] (Clear Lake)

Howland was a solid role player for the Lions as a junior, averaging 3.4 points and 1.9 rebounds off the bench on 62.5% shooting. He followed that up with a strong spring and summer with Iowa Frost in which he displayed some rim protection, rebounding, and ability to occasionally step out and stretch the floor. He should be a key piece for a Clear Lake team that will be a contender in 3A this season.

(242) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2478865' first='Ryley' last='Johnston'] (Winterset)

Johnston didn't do much for the Huskies last season, but will be a big part of the rotation as a senior. A 6-4 big man who can stretch the floor, pound the glass on both ends of the floor, and protect the paint defensively, he's a high-energy forward who competes hard on every possession. He's another player who was a standout at the Winterset Shootout in June.

(243) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2425897' first='Zach' last='Belew'] (Don Bosco)

An athletic, physical forward, Belew was a big-time producer for the Dons as a junior, leading the team in scoring at 14.9 points per game to go with 7.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 51% shooting. He does nearly all of his damage around the rim, where he has soft touch and can finish with either hand.

(245) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2511523' first='Dayton' last='Lamar'] (Fort Madison)

Lamar has good size at 6-5, and he's a very efficient finisher, shooting 55.6% from the floor as a junior for the Bloodhounds. He averaged 8.7 points and 6.1 rebounds a game, but his biggest asset was his rim protection, blocking 2.5 shots a game.

(247) SF [player_tooltip player_id='2511528' first='Jackson' last='Laver'] (Bettendorf)

An athletic 6-2 wing who can provide some versatility on both ends of the floor with his size, length, and quickness, Laver can defend multiple positions, knock down shots off the catch, and contribute on the glass. He'll step into a bigger role as a senior for the Bulldogs.

(249) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2511544' first='Rocky' last='Bartleman'] (North Polk)

Bartleman impressed at the Winterset Shootout, showing good mobility and awareness on the defensive end, as well as strong footwork and deft touch around the rim on post touches. He should be a big player for the Comets as a senior after being a role player as a junior.

(252) SF [player_tooltip player_id='2511578' first='Rex' last='Smith'] (Southeast Polk)

Following several graduations and a transfer, the Rams will largely be a new-look team this season, so they'll lean heavily on the 6-3 Smith, who was a solid role player for them last season. He played well at the Winterset Shootout in June, showing the ability to score inside and out as well as contribute on the glass.

(256) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2511586' first='Hayden' last='Utt'] (Davis County)

A strong, physical 6-4 big man, Utt was dominant on the glass for the Mustangs last season, pulling down 10.1 rebounds a game, including 3.1 on the offensive end. If he's able to improve his touch around the rim a little bit, he could easily average a double-double as a senior.

(258) SF [player_tooltip player_id='2511589' first='Jack' last='Larson'] (Norwalk)

Larson is a high IQ, physical combo forward who can do a little bit of everything on the floor. He finishes well around the rim, getting there on the offensive glass or good off-ball movement, and he sees the floor well as a passer. Nothing he does is going to blow you away, but he's a solid two-way contributor who makes winning plays.

(259) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2511592' first='Jaxon' last='Volk'] (Centennial)

Volk will need to be a senior leader for a Centennial team that is going to be very, very young this season. He played well on both ends of the floor at the Winterset Shootout, showing impressive athleticism and strength, which allows him to defend multiple positions.

(260) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2511603' first='Luke' last='Bartlett'] (Southeast Polk)

Another 6-3 piece who will step into a much larger role as a senior for SEP, Bartlett averaged 3.1 points in limited action. He shot 6-10 from behind the arc as a junior, and while that is certainly a small sample size, the form on his jumper looks pure and his ability to stretch the floor could prove to be a very valuable asset for the Rams.

(262) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2511628' first='Will' last='Hawthorne'] (Gilbert)

With his activity, toughness, and soft hands, Hawthorne plays bigger than his listed 6-2, pounding the glass hard on both ends of the floor and finishing well around the rim. He averaged 6.5 points and 8.0 rebounds a game on 57% shooting as a junior for the Tigers, and will be a key piece for a team that will be among the most improved in 3A.

(266) C [player_tooltip player_id='2511615' first='Brayden' last='Darling'] (Kee)

Darling has great size at 6-6 and was a really solid rim protector as a junior for the Hawks, blocking 2.4 shots a game. He's not a big offensive threat, averaging 5.0 points and 4.6 rebounds, but he provides some value with his ability to defend the paint.

(268) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2511537' first='Quinton' last='Bailey'] (Des Moines Christian)

Bailey appeared in 16 games last season for the Lions, but played limited minutes in those games. He was productive in his time, averaging 1.9 points and 1.6 rebounds on nearly 74% shooting, and he should step into a bigger role as a senior after a solid spring and summer. He's a mobile forward who runs the floor hard, crashes the glass, and finishes really well around the rim.

(270) PF [player_tooltip player_id='2511617' first='Billie' last='Kindred'] (Keota)

A 6-4 big man with soft hands and good vision, Kindred was a really solid all-around producer for the Eagles as a junior, averaging 11.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists a game. His ability to get his teammates involved out of the post area was huge for a Keota team that was among the most explosive in 1A last season, and he'll be the focal point of the offensive attack as a senior following a ton of losses to graduation.

(271) SF [player_tooltip player_id='2511605' first='Sam' last='Zelenovich'] (Southeast Polk)

Zelenovich started a handful of games last season for the Rams, averaging 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds a game. A 6-1 wing who moves well without the ball in his hands, he's at his best when he's attacking the rim either off of good off-ball movement or the bounce.

(272) C [player_tooltip player_id='2511601' first='Cole' last='Lundgren'] (Southeast Valley)

Lundgren is a big body at 6-4/6-5 who uses his frame to his advantage as a rim protector, averaging 2.7 blocks per game as a junior for the Jaguars. He does a nice job of staying vertical and contesting without fouling, and he's also strong on the offensive glass, averaging 2.4 offensive boards a game.
