The hardest thing about doing prospect rankings is that you simply can't get them all right, especially in a state as big and diverse as VA. There are many factors that can have us leave a worthy prospect out, whether it's not getting a chance to see them or just simply a slip of the mind, we strive to always get it right and recognize the players who deserve it.

Here's a list of 7 current rising seniors in VA that we will be sure to recognize in our next rankings.

Wynn had a big summer with Team Loaded 757 on the HGSL Circuit, emerging as one of the top prospects in Hampton Roads and garnering tons of scholarship interest. The 6'5” wing has a college ready frame that will only get stronger, he knifes through the defense off the bounce and finishes well at the rim, he can knock down tough shots off the bounce and he has tons of upside defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571790' first='Bishop' last='Saunders'] | 6'0” PG | Christchurch '25

Saunders is an under the radar guard who hails from Roanoke but plays at Christchurch in Deltaville, and he's one of the biggest sleepers in the class after averaging 18 points and 4 assists last year. He's a crafty guard who is shifty going either direction, he can create shots for himself and score the ball from all three levels off the bounce and he's a high IQ and fundamentally sound guard who makes the right play consistently.

Prodigy Simms | 5'10” PG | Eastern Mennonite '25

Simms was a player that simply slipped my mind during the last rankings update, and he has every right to be upset with me after his big junior season where he averaged 18 points and led EMHS to a state Final Four appearance. He's a highly talented shot maker with in the gym range, he has great footwork and balance on his pull-ups and step backs, he can create for others off the bounce and he has good instincts defensively too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1511722' first='Deng' last='Wutchok'] | 6'8” PF | Virginia Academy '25

Wutchok is a very intriguing long term prospect for VAA, as he has tons of potential with his unique skill set and feel for a player his size. He has soft touch out to the three-point line and can knock down catch-and-shoot shots from deep, he works well in the mid-post area on face ups and fall-aways, he has good vision and playmaking ability for his size and he is just scratching the surface with how good he can be.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571740' first='TJ' last='Jackson'] | 6'1” PG | Oak Hill Red '25

Jackson is a big part of an underrated Oak Hill Red team that has improved a lot over the past few years, and he's a guard that a lot of college coaches would like with his dual threat ability as a scorer and a playmaker. The smooth lefty is crafty off the bounce with the ability to change speeds and directions, he can drill it from deep and doesn't need much space, he draws contacts to get to the line and he makes great reads with the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571755' first='Stephen' last='Kouassi'] | 6'8” PF | Oak Hill Red '25

Kouassi is a native of Charlotte who showed a lot of upside last year for Oak Hill Red, as his versatility coupled with his size and athleticism should have college coaches taking a serious look. At 6'8” he has long arms and is explosive around the rim as a finisher and shot blocker, he can stretch the defense with his shooting touch, he is a good passer for his position and he will only get stronger and more polished as he grows into his body.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571797' first='Rahjeem' last='Moore'] | 6'3” PF | LC Bird ‘25

Guys like Moore are often the ones overlooked in the high school setting, but he deserves his recognition after being a huge part of LC Bird's surprise run to the state championship game last year. While he may be a little undersized he doesn't play like it at all as he uses his strength to clear out space and finish through contact, he's relentless on the glass often times out rebounding taller bigs and he plays with a great motor doing all the little things to help his team win.
