June 21st-23rd I attended the annual prestigious Section-7 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale,AZ. There were 160+ teams from across the West and some out of the area and it is one of the biggest live period that college coaches can view high school teams. It is basically the Super Bowl of HS basketball in the West for three days. The local teams held their own and Millennium even won one of the top brackets.

Here were some Under the Radar players I viewed

[player_tooltip player_id='2291967' first='Kyle' last='Bogart'] Highland (Pictured)

A long and quickly growing power forward is getting better every game I have seen him recently. He is moving better and will defend with blocking shots at a high level and he is a fluid mover in space. He scores it around the basket effectively with good hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='2326931' first='Matt' last='Quinlan'] Rancho Solano Prep

A skilled combo guard who is a two-way player. He handles the point guard duties and makes plays for his teammates. He makes open threes (he actually got hot and hit 7) plus mid-range jumpers. He has a natural good feel and he is their best on-ball defender with his upper body strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='1776604' first='Tristen' last='Rhodes'] Millennium

One of the top bench players of the top-25 team is Rhodes. He is a sharp shooter from the three point line off the catch with a super quick release. He stays in motion to free himself and makes good reads with the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1364143' first='Landon' last='Wilson'] Sandra Day O'Connor

Another sniper is Wilson. He transferred in from last year and is now becoming a perfect compliment off of their top players. He will rattle in threes quickly and he is one of those shooters who you assume the ball is going in every time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1758975' first='Nash' last='Parmley'] Sunnyslope

An improving wing forward gets the start this year with some graduating and transferring out. He has great positional size and actually grew at least an inch. He can hit the three off the catch and pull-up off the dribble from mid-range. He rebounds well in his area and the high academic junior is a nice sleeper.

[player_tooltip player_id='1491235' first='Tamar' last='Johnson'] Carl Hayden

A scoring point guard can get downhill and will drive and kick it to a teammate. He makes shots from the perimeter with the catch and shoot threes and is quick to get to the basket to score. He shows toughness on defense to rebound and is a pest on the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1736170' first='Kareem' last='Alkhalifa'] Pinnacle

A decent sized wing forward will defend multiple positions and score. He scores with catch and shoot threes, offensive rebound put backs and is a plus athlete who moves without the ball. He makes good reads to teammates and is becoming their go-to player this year heading into his junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2280476' first='Josiah' last='Peoples'] Prescott

A somewhat unknown scoring guard is very athletic. He loves getting downhill and the lefty is an attacker and brings some athleticism to the team. He will sit down and defend and rebound in and out of his area.
