Rankings Review: Class of 2027 New Additions

The Class of 2027 rankings were released last week across Louisiana. Along with changes to the top ten, there were some new players added to the rankings. Now, there are 90 players ranked in the class of 2027. In this rankings review, we will look at the new players who were added. These players have added more depth to an already talented sophomore class in Louisiana.   [player_tooltip player_id='2471563' first='Kellen' last='Brewer'] - The Country Day/Liv-On guard may be the top shooter in the 2027 class. He has a quick release and his shooting motion is fluid. Brewer is also a good ball-handler and is good at making decisions on the break. He is a player who can play either guard position but looks more comfortable off the ball.   [player_tooltip player_id='2422670' first='Braylen' last='Billups'] - Billups is an undersized guard who packs a ton of offensive punch. He is very quick and has the wherewithal to breakdown defenses by getting into the lane. His finishing ability, at his size, is what separates him. Billups has a good floater and a high-arching jumper he uses to shoot over taller defenders. What he does offensively is a plus for the Bulldog offense.   [player_tooltip player_id='2472662' first='Travonta' last='Allridge'] - The Ellender two sport star is a defensive stalwart on the hardwood. He has very good timing and leaps off the floor quickly when he blocks shots. When it comes to the offensive side, Allridge is not someone you have to run plays for. He is good at garnering putbacks and finishing around the basket. His defensive ability is what separates him.   [player_tooltip player_id='2471549' first='Kaydhn' last='Hardie'] - When it comes to point guards, there may not be one that does more for their team than Hardie. He facilitates the offense and is asked to get everyone organized. However, when Tioga needs a three point shot, he takes the shot. Hardie bails out the Tioga offense when it stalls. His ability and willingness to take big shots is what makes him the player he is.   [player_tooltip player_id='2471637' first='Collin' last='Rideau'] - Rideau may be one of the most well-rounded point guards in the 2027 class. He has a great handle while being able to score on three levels. While he is an offensive threat anywhere in the half court, he is just as good defensively. Collin is good at playing man-to-man full court or in the half court. His defense can create offense instantly. Being able to control a game offensively and defensively is a gift Rideau possesses.   Other new additions   [player_tooltip player_id='2412771' first='Carlton' last='Thomas'] (Tioga) - has the ability to stretch the floor   [player_tooltip player_id='2422719' first='Devin' last='Elmore'] (Carroll) - another play-making guard who can get to the rim   [player_tooltip player_id='2422867' first='Jacob' last='Attaway'] (Haughton) - forward who can rebound and score in the paint   New additions will continue to add value to each class ranking. While players like [player_tooltip player_id='2471566' first='Triston' last='Naquin'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2471554' first='Elijah' last='Garner'] are top ten players, other new additions are important players to their individual teams. Look for newly added players when there is another rankings update.
