One of the top prep leagues in the country, the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council isn't just home to schools in New England, but in fact, calls a few New York institutions members.

Given that fact, we thought it was important to take a look at a some of the top New York based talent that suited up in Connecticut last weekend.

A post grad at Darrow School, Delgardo was one of the top stock risers from the event. An electric combo guard, Delgardo has a quick first step, terrific floor vision, and another gear in transition. He's a true three level scorer that can really create seperation with the bounce and has a great feel for when to change speeds. He's athletic, wiry strong, and super competitive. He creates havoc defensively with his length and ability to jump passing lanes or create deflections while guarding the ball. All in all, he was one of the most impressive prospects at the event and is one that I believe scholarship level programs should follow from here on out.

A Massachusetts native that is also doing a post grad year at Darrow School, Gonzalez impressed last weekend as a versatile big man that could impact the game on both ends of the floor. Gonzalez has the ability to make any team better on the defensive end of the floor. He's long, moves well laterally for his size, and has impressive instincts as a shot blocker. The most significant development from the weekend for him was his ability to defend on the perimeter and keep opposing guards out of the paint. Offensively, he does a great job of running the floor, competes on the offensive glass, and is an efficient finisher when he catches the ball on the block.

Gati, who also attends Darrow School, was among the most talented big men in attendance at Avon Old Farms. A true rim protector, Gati combines impressive positional size and length with good athleticism and timing. He's incredibly disruptive around the rim, but also shows the ability to guard in space. He's quick off the floor and isn't afraid to meet an opponent at the rim, on either end of the court. He's a scorer out of the dunker spot and has developed a nice array of finishing moves in the post. He's a long, fluid athlete that plays with a high motor and should only continue to get better as he adds strength. A definite scholarship prospect that's already garnered significant Division I attention.

A rising senior at New York Military Academy, Duke stood out as a combo guard that could impact the game on both ends of the floor. Duke is an explosive guard that has a great first step, tight handle, and the ability to finish through contact at the rim. He's a good shooter from the perimeter off the catch and has shown the ability to attack bad closeouts off the bounce. He shines defensively as a guard that can defend any spot on the perimeter. He has quick hands and great positional length, and maybe most impressive, is his ability to contest shots at the rim at just 6'1". He plays with good energy and a high motor and is another prospect that could catch the eye of scholarship level coaches this year.

Fall, a big man from the Millbrook School, made coaches take notice with his athleticism and versatility last weekend. One of the more impressive forwards in atttendance, Fall has gotten noticably better since the last time we had eyes on him. At this point in time, he's a capable standstill shooter from behind the arc, but where he really stands out is in his ability to make plays from the top of the key and the high post. He shows good decision making instincts and is hard to guard when he gets out in space. A big time finisher at the rim, Fall shows signs of playmaking ability in transition and in the half court when attacking closeouts. A versatile defender, he has plus tools on that end and is a prospect that should be able to guard up and down the board at the next level.
