While I didn't get to see as much of [program_tooltip program_id='2076492' first='Team' last='Mayo'] as I wanted to, I did see enough to get a good idea of what the WV based kids on the squad could do. And I've seen them play previously so it was a good refresher on their skills and abilities. With just four WV players on the roster in the first session and [player_tooltip player_id='2472873' first='Joey' last='Gollihue'] joining the squad for the second session, the notes were short and sweet. Like I mentioned, I had seen all these guys play previously in WVSSAC action throughout WV.

The group consists of an interesting lineup of athletes, four of who are from Huntington High beginning with [player_tooltip player_id='2472994' first='Tristan' last='Hornbuckle']. Hornbuckle is a ball of fire on the floor, has good handles and knows how to score when he's challenged. [player_tooltip player_id='2473337' first='Nick' last='Wilson'] is a tough and strong body inside at just 6'2" but knows what to do vs. bigger players. [player_tooltip player_id='2390842' first='Tayveon' last='Wilson'] is a D1 football prospect, and when we say prospect, we don't mean we think he might play D1 football, we mean he has numerous D1 football offers. Wilson who has great performances in the state tournament where his strength in the paint gave opponents fits and while in Myrtle Beach it was no different.

[player_tooltip player_id='2472873' first='Joey' last='Gollihue'] jumped in on the fun in the second session and even led the team in scoring one game but struggled to stay consistent. Gollihue is one of the top 2025 returning guards for the upcoming season and has some recruiting interests possibly riding on his play this upcoming school season.

The final player and the one that caught the eye of several coaches and scouts was [player_tooltip player_id='2472996' first='Taviun' last='Chandler']. Chandler also a Huntington High product has consistently shown throughout the spring and summer what makes him worth talking about. Chandler has a great motor, great length for a guard as well as a high ceiling athletically.
