GASO Summer Finale Sunday Eye Catching Duos

The GASO Summer Finale took place at the SWAC this weekend and it was a tournament to remember. So many great matchups happened between top level teams and several prospects left their mark on college coaches. Offers were given and interest was sown for these talented hoopers during the last live period of the summer. Let's take a look at some duos who stood out to me on Sunday morning.    I got to watch this duo in action during their morning game against Team LOE Blue on Sunday and they were very impressive. [player_tooltip player_id='1225320' first='Jett' last='McCasland'] is a 2025 guard who uses speed and shiftiness on the perimeter to create open shots for himself and is able to shoot over defenders with his quick release. [player_tooltip player_id='1592889' first='Trae' last='Nunn'] is a great "3 and D" prospect that also knows how to slash effectively and get to the rim as he demonstrated in this contest. Jett changed the momentum of the game singlehandedly in the first half with several long range three pointers and helped to facilitate the offense while Trae was key in crunch time during the second half to help his team end the weekend strong. Nunn is not afraid to absorb contact when driving to the rim and can finish against the best of defenders. He is also solid off the catch and shoot as well as knowing when to shoot the ball and when to pass. I'm looking for these two to continue their momentum into school basketball this fall.     [player_tooltip player_id='1590879' first='Bryce' last='Dixon'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1560891' first='Cash' last='Chism'] were a very effective guard combo for Team Trae Young in their clutch win Sunday over Iso Joe EYCL 16u. Dixon is a dominant scorer who can hit shots from all three levels and just all around make things happen on the offensive end. Chism is a playmaking guard who always knows where his teammates are on the floor and handles the basketball well under pressure. Trae Young had several key buckets in the paint this contest and netted numerous free throws to win the game as Dixon was a big key player in the scoring on offense. Cash's most impressive part of his game was his poise under full court pressure and his defense. He stays disciplined with his arms out to play the passing lanes and facilitates well for teammates. These two have a high ceiling and will only continue to excel as the lights get brighter.     I was able to watch the [program_tooltip program_id='2075520' first='Houston' last='Raptors'] 17u Benjamin team on both Saturday and Sunday and the teamwork from this group was very impressive. [player_tooltip player_id='1227001' first='Noah' last='Neumann'] is a sharpshooting 2025 guard who showed great catch and shoot ability as well as knowing how to pick his spots on the perimeter and locking down on defense. Harvey is a 2025 wing who gets to the basket past defenders with ease and can crash the boards on both ends, getting key rebounds for his squad. Noah continues to impress on the AAU scene with his sniper ability from long range, but don't be fooled...he can also defend and facilitate with the best of opponents. Harvey's main attribute that impressed me in their contests was his motor and his ability to run the floor on fastbreaks and key possessions. Both of these prospects turned heads this weekend and will look to build on this heading into the academic basketball season this year.
