Senior point guard Rhaki Lum is primed to break out as one of the top players to watch in PIAA Class 4A this upcoming season. He possesses elite quickness and open court speed. Lum plays with excellent strength and doesn’t shy away from contact around the rim, frequently. His ability to absorb hits and still finish makes him an absolute handful for opposing defenses. Lum’s quickness also translates to the defensive end, where his lateral mobility and length make him a disruptive force. Aside from his athleticism, Lum has excellent overall ball skills highlighted by a tight handle. He’s a willing playmaker that can break down a defense and create for teammates. After sharing the spotlight last year, with Cummings and Thomas, Lum is primed for a massive senior campaign as one of Lincoln Park’s go-to guys. With a summer of hard work underway, the speedy and athletic Rhaki Lum has all the tools to emerge as one of Class 4A’s most dynamic guards in 2024-25.

His strength allows him to finish through contact in the paint. Maddalon is also a quality ball-handler and playmaker with excellent court vision. His unselfishness is a major asset. Maddalon competes hard on both ends of the floor. He takes pride in playing lockdown defense, hustling for loose balls, and crashing the glass. His versatility to guard multiple positions only adds to his resume. With an unceasing work ethic fueling his ongoing development, Owen Maddalon’s combination of size, skill, toughness, and tenacity establishes him as a prime prospect in Class 4A.

Drew Cook
Drew Cook has already shown flashes of becoming an impact player in Class 4A. The 5’10” combo guard has been a scoring machine on the AAU circuit, routinely pouring in 20+ point performances. He excels as a spot-up shooter, using his quick release to capitalize when defenses lose track of him. He also has a crafty handle and the ability to create his own shot off the bounce or finish creatively around the basket. Cook’s athleticism aids his scoring ability. On the defensive end, Cook’s quickness and anticipation make him a lockdown guy. With Cook putting in extensive work this summer, he will have a big season next winter for South Allegheny.

Jackson Bauman
Jackson Bauman
Jackson Bauman is a special point guard prospect that coaches and evaluators need to have firmly on their radars. He boasts outstanding court vision and passing ability. Bauman is a true floor general who excels at making plays off the dribble. His ability to thread jaw-dropping passes through tight windows is simply unreal. But Bauman is far more than just a distributor. He’s a skilled scorer in his own right and will knock down shots from the perimeter or get into the paint and finish strong through contact around the rim. Bauman combines a crafty scoring touch with impressive athleticism that allows him to play above the rim for big-time dunks. Already an accomplished player at the high school level, he averaged 16 points and shot 42% from three while earning 1st Team All-Butler Eagle and All-Section honors last season at Knoch. His ability to make everyone around him better while also carrying a scoring load is impressive.
