GLENDALE, Ariz. — The annual Section 7 team camp, one of the best live period events in the country, took place over the weekend inside of State Farm Stadium just outside of Phoenix. Many of the top high school teams on the west coast and beyond made their way to Arizona to play in front of droves of college coaches. We were in attendance and below are the best long term guard prospects we saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630617' first='Brayden' last='Burries'] | 2025 | Roosevelt (CA)

It wasn't Roosevelt's best showing as a team but Burries' game was clearly among the most polished in the event. The 6-foot-5 rising senior averaged 26 points and seven rebounds per game while showing his combination of explosive athleticism, powerful frame and the ability to score both with finesse and force. Burries' is a guy who can make plays for himself and teammates in isolation situations and he can blend into an offensive system because of his smarts and ability to play without the ball in his hands.

Bruce Branch | 2027 | Perry (AZ)

Branch is among the best underclass prospects in the country and it was good to see him with his high school team after watching him on the club circuit. The 6-foot-6 sophomore has advanced offensive feel for his class, led by his smooth jumper both off the bounce and off the catch. Branch is a smooth and fluid athlete with a pop of explosiveness and he gets out and runs the floor in transition where he can glide his way to the rim for paint buckets. Branch has all the athletic tools and physical traits of a potential high major prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630620' first='Elzie' last='Harrington'] | 2025 | St. John Bosco (CA)

The recent Harvard-commit stepped up in the absence of [player_tooltip player_id='2131779' first='Brandon' last='McCoy'], Jr. who missed the event after making the USA Basketball U17 team. The 6-foot-6 point guard has always had advanced feel as a passer and playmaker and his ability to empower teammates with his unselfishness stood out throughout this event. Harrington also elevated his scoring punch as he averaged better than 20 points per game through his four games.

Jalen Reece | 2025 | Oak Ridge (FL)

Reece is a dynamic all-around player whose impact stretches to every aspect of the game. The 6-foot point guard is a physical and tough on-ball defender whose strong frame and quick hands allow him to disrupt and pressure opposing ball handlers. Offensively, the rising senior can control the tempo of a game by scoring or distributing. Reece has perimeter shooting ability off the dribble and can get paint touches and score with floaters or use his broad shoulders to absorb and finish through contact. He posted an impressive 22 assist to five turnover stat-line through four games.

[player_tooltip player_id='1850299' first='Kaden' last='Powers'] | 2025 | Rainier Beach (WA)

Powers is an old-school type of scorer who really thrives in the mid-range area of the floor. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard has elite footwork and feel off the dribble and uses those traits to create space from his defender and knock down his patented fall away 15-17 footers. Powers is smooth and composed when sizing up his defender and knows how to get to his spots and elevate into his jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='2173760' first='Keaundre' last='Morris'] | 2027 | Curtis (WA)

Pound-for-pound, Morris was one of the best shot makers and creators we watched. The 6-foot-3 rising sophomore is best when isolated on the wing where he can use his shiftiness, quickness and creativity off the bounce to get to a balanced and polished mid-range jumper. Morris is a quick-twitch athlete with great body control and finishing ability around the basket and averaged better than 23 points per game on the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630635' first='Mazi' last='Mosely'] | 2025 | St. Francis (CA)

Mosley's ability and upside have been well-known on the west coast for the last few years and this spring and summer he has taken game to the national level. The 6-foot-5 point guard is a creative playmaker for himself and teammates who uses advanced ball handling, slithery driving and combination of euro-steps and length to get to the rim and finish over rim protectors. Mosley's combination of size and ability to get into a quick stop and pop mid-range jumper, which is one of his most effective offensive moves.
