New Talent On Display C/O '27-'28

Over the course of the summer Arkansas has been consistently building the basketball community. Players, coaches, and fans continue to make waves. There have been showcases and tournaments all across the state putting our state's best players in action all while sparking new talent. Lets get into some of the new faces on the scene.    Hyland is a sturdy built, solid guard that can roam the perimeter with good off ball movement and IQ. When controlling the ball, he has an aggressive mindset looking to go at your chest and get inside. He can be a spot up threat when loosely guarded and finds teammates in traffic when breaking down defenders.     Hendrix is a sharpshooter that plays well within his strengths. He can shoot off the catch or the dribble and looks can be efficient on consecutive looks. He is a crafty ball handler and uses good fundamental footwork and passing. He can get downhill in the open court, and he makes hustle plays for extra possessions.     Hicks has an advanced skillset that he displays with strong, sharp ball handling and control of pace to create advantages for himself. He can defend 1-3 with great instincts in the passing lane and great agility on switches. He plays hard and tough will bang for rebounds and dive for loose balls. He gets to the paint and finishes through contact well and will hit shots off the dribble in rhythm.     Orion is a vertical threat with his ability to play up above and around the rim. He has exceptional hands when receiving passes and has the ability to dish them back out to players on the move. He can finish with a soft touch and shows some raw back to the basket footwork. An active defender that can step out and guard the wing from time to time and is a mobile paint presence that times blocks well.     Karter is a skilled scorer that has great speed and shot making ability from multiple areas across the court. He shoots proficiently well when creating for himself, where he can get shots off over defenders and use step backs to create space. He is an effective defender that plays physically looking to bother opponents on the perimeter while driving.
