Over the course of the next few weeks, we’ll try to cover each of those prospects in our Commitment Catch-Up series.
Today, we’ll take a look at four local prospects that are headed to play Division III basketball this fall.

Will Mollica
Mollica made his college plans official when he announced that he will be attending Plymouth State University this fall. A key contributor for the 2023-2024 NHIAA Division III state champions, Mollica has a versatile offensive game, operating almost as a point forward at times. He has the ability to turn a defensive rebound into a transition opportunity and is a good passer in the half-court. He’s an advanced cutter and has proven to be able to finish through contact at the rim. An intelligent defender, he should be able to guard both forward spots at the next level. He’s headed to a physical and competitive league in the Little East but should be able to help Plymouth State win games down the road.

Donovan Holway
Holway came off the board with a commitment to Wentworth Institute of Technology. A combo forward that can play in the post or on the perimeter, Holway has good positional size and decision making instincts. Defensively, he combines versatility and length with a nose for the ball and the IQ to be in the right position within team concepts. Offensively, he has some sneaky athleticism and a deceptively quick first step. He can make plays with the ball in his hands at the top of the key and is a quality shooter when coming off of screens. He’s the type of high IQ, skilled prospect that normall does well in the CCC and has a chance to be an impact piece for WIT.
Fleming will continue his academic and athletic careers in the UAA at Rochester University. Fleming has great positional size and a motor that never stops, two traits that made him a saught after recruit by high academic D3 institutions. He’s shown the ability to finish with either hand in the post and does a good job of keeping plays alive and chasing down offensive rebounds. His ability to be a switchable defender, move his feet on the perimeter, and defending in the post without fouling is impressive for his size. He impacts games on the defensive end of the floor by making solid play after solid play and controlling the paint. The UAA is one of the most competitive Division III leagues in the country, but Fleming’s the type of prospect that should be able to help Rochester win a lot of basketball games down the road with his intangibles.

Caelan Zeilenga
Caelan Zeilenga
Zeilenga finalized his plans for college and announced that he will play basketball at Franklin Pierce University. An under the radar recruit from Vermont, Zeilenga has a complete package on the offensive end of the floor. He has deep range and a quick release on his jumper, but also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and finish with either hand at the rim this winter. He’s a quality decision maker and a solid passer in the half-court. Defensively, he competes and moves his feet to keep opposing ball handlers out of the paint. He’s not afraid to be physical on that end of the floor, which benefits him. Transition from high school to the Northeast-10 is no easy task, but their should be plenty of opportunity for him to continue to expand his game over the course of the next 12 months.
