2024 Grand Park Summer Slam Tournament Class of 2029

These young men showed their complete value to every team they played for over the weekend. Leadership, defense, intangibles and all around basketball skills were on display for all to see.    Weston definitely has the skills to be a successful shooting guard as he continues grow into his position. He has scoring capabilities to go along with being a great passer. Showed strong leadership and ball handling which allowed him the ability to create for himself or others. Deadly accurate shooter from long range who made the majority of his shots. Good mid-range shooter who had no problem getting to the basket. On defense he plays a ball-hawking style that often forced opposing guards into turnovers. It was truly a pleasure watching this fearless little guy play! He can definitely be successful in the years to come with growth and continued practice.     Elijah is a high energy player who has the ability to create for himself or teammates. He is a good shooter from all over the floor, often making floaters, mid-range jumpers and three pointers if given the opportunity. Great offensive minded player who was in constant attack mode when he was on the floor, often slashing to the basket for easy scores. Elijah is a tough minded guard who had no problem running the team as a lead guard. A fiesty defender who applied constant ball pressure on opposing guards which lead to many turnovers. He was clearly the floor leader on the court and seems like the type of kid who hates to lose. Coaches love players who put team first and Elijah definitely plays the game with that mentality. I see nothing but success for him at the middle and high school levels.     Christian has strong ball handling skills which allow him to break down defenders and drive the lane for easy baskets. He can make mid range shots within 15 feet and take smaller defenders in the post which turned out to be very effective on offense. Showed the ability to run the floor and finish on fast break opportunities. A tenacious rebounding machine who grabbed both offensive and defensive rebounds at a high rate. Great defensive player who made scoring very challenging for opposing players who attacked the paint. Christian is a player who has all the intangibles needed to make any team he plays with a success.     A talented all-around player with a variety of basketball skills. Noah has the ability to score from anywhere on the basketball court. He has a smooth jump-shot and the ability break down opposing players and get to the basket. Great at attacking the glass and grabbing rebounds at a high rate. He didn't mind going into the paint and playing through contact while scoring and rebounding. Can knock down three point shots when given the opportunity. Noah runs the floor well and can finish at the basket during fast breaking situations. Noah is a player who hustles for every loose ball and does everything necessary to help his team win.     Dominic showed the ability to play inside and outside the painted area. He has good post moves along with the ability of making jump-shots outside of 12 feet. Seamlessly works well on offense getting to his spots for open looks. Sets good picks and screens that allow teammates to be effective on the offensive side of the court. Good interior post defender who has no issues boxing out and grabbing defensive rebounds. Great shot blocker who made it tough for opposing players to get off easy shots. Dominic plays with a calm demeanor and maintains the same emotions win or lose. He communicates and displays positive energy with other teammates. With continued growth and practice, his basketball skills will definitely translate to the next level.
