We saw so many good players from the Wichita area this spring that we're going to split them into two groups for some analysis. We took a good look at six players from within the city who stood out in spring action.

Now, here are six Wichita-area guards who made an impression this spring (in alphabetical order):

Mason Bui, 6-foot guard, 2025, Derby, Wichita Magic:

Bui showed his ability at the point for Wichita Magic, attacking relentlessly and fighting for every inch of the court. He crashes the boards well from the guard position. He is quick and athletic and a nice ball handler. He also showed ability to hit from deep.

Cam Dunn, 5-foot-6 guard, 2026, Derby, Kansas Select:

Though he's not real big, Dunn has strength and toughness that are hard to match. From the point he pushes the tempo and forces defenses to react. He repeatedly got into defenses and kicked to shooters. He has a nice lefty finish on the drive. Dunn is a true distributor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2328079' first='Kellen' last='Green'], 6-foot-1 guard 2026, Oxford, SSA (pictured):

Green is a big guard with a lot of versatility to his game. He doesn't have to have the ball in his hands to be a threat offensively. He moves without the ball to catch and shoot on the move. He has a quick pullup and release that he can get off against bigger defenders. Green is strong and long, making for a tough matchup for opposing guards. After a really good high school season, he's showing what he can do against big-school opposition.

Griffin Hand, 6-foot guard, 2026, Andover, SBA:

Hand can play the point or wing equally well. He can really drop shots from deep. Just what you expect from an Andover guard, right? He has a quick release and ability to find openings on the perimeter. He is also a nice ball handler who can feel out what the defense is giving and get the ball to his teammates.

Jack Horsch, 6-foot guard, 2026, Andale, Kansas Select:

After really popping out during summer action a year ago, Horsch continues to impress. He's the kind of energy player that inspires everyone else to play harder. He goes all out for loose balls. He powers through traffic to get to the goal. He rebounds relentlessly. Horsch has nice skills, and he gets the most out of them with his effort.

Alonzo Madison, 5-foot-10 guard, 2026, Goddard, Kansas Select:

One more impressive guard for Kansas Select. Madison is another threat to penetrate and dish or finish with a jumper or floater. With other good point guards on the team, Madison is doing the little things to help the team like defend, rebound, hunt loose balls, etc.
