There were some new teams and new faces that graced Houston with their presence during Mother's Day weekend at the Space City Collision. These new faces, freshmen and sophomores, brought some new talent to the hardwood of the Mi3. The classes of 2026 and 2027 brought a different type of energy to the Collision. In this Prep Hoops exclusive, that will be our focus. We will take a look at the new blood from the Space City Collision.

Carlos Perry (LA Broncos 2027) - Perry was a key player in the Broncos win over Dash Elite 2027. His game is a little different in that he is a lefty who has the capability to spot up. The close out to him defensively is different and you could tell that defenders had an issue. Along with that, he is long and rangy which allowed him to defend several positions. His offensive and defensive traits were very helpful during play in Houston.

Michale Price (Dash Elite 2027) - While his team did not come out with a victory in their last game, Price left an impression this weekend. Michale showed the ability to handle the rock and take players off the dribble. He also used his strength to body guards and get to his spots on the floor. Price also made a few from deep. Price showed that he can do a myriad of things and do them well.

Faylon Wright (LA Broncos 2027) - Wright played in the paint this weekend for the Broncos and he was ultra good at being a finisher at the rim. He was often seen catching the ball in tight spaces and making layups. Along with his excellent hands, Wright has upper body strength that allowed him to power through contact for rebounds and layups. He may be undersized but Wright has a ton of positive attributes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2400435' first='Kameron' last='Harris'] (Xpress Sports 2026) - In only his second Prep Hoops Circuit tournament, Harris showed teams that he is a forward to deal with. His strength in the post is somewhat overpowering and defenders found that out when they tried to prevent him from scoring. Harris finishes everything with his left hand and no team has stopped him getting to it. He has high level finishing ability around the rim.

Ericson Fusillier (Dash Elite 2027) - Fusillier reminded me of one of those veterans from the park. They always know where they are going and what they will do to get to the hoop. Fusillier can attack from the perimeter and shoot from the perimeter which makes him hard to guard. He also rebounded the ball well and showed he is quick off the floor in rebounding situations. Fusillier has some versatility to his game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132763' first='Mason' last='Newman'] (LA Broncos 2027) - Newman displayed a ton of different parts to his game this weekend. He is an athletic space-eater and will out-rebound practically anyone. His finishing ability in the paint was at a high percentage because he knows what to do when he receives it. Newman also showed that he could step out on the perimeter and knock down jumpers. He is a player that has a ton of skill and knows how to use it.

These rising sophomores and freshmen were highly active on the floor this weekend in Houston. They showed all around offensive skill and the ability to defend. As the Prep Hoops Circuit continues, these players will be ones to watch as the Grind Region moves on towards the championships this summer.
