Prep Hoops Live: Elite Forwards

Which forwards proved themselves to be elite at Prep Hoops Live?

Ramsey Walz -- PF -- North Dakota Phenom

Walz has a physical presence in the paint that most opponents can't match. The 6-foot-7 power forward is strong, tall, and athletic around the cup. On defense, he blocks shots and rebounds at a high level. Offensively, Walz will dunk everything and is not afraid of contact. Moving forward, I expect Walz to have a big summer and garner plenty of college attention.

Wyatt Gilleland -- PF -- Tennessee Edge

Gilleland exits Prep Hoops Live with his stock at an all-time high. The power forward's skill shined very bright in Romeoville this past weekend. On both ends of the court, Gilleland controls the game with his size and physicality. He snatches boards with ease and can finish well around the rim. As Gilleland continues to improve and add new elements to his game, I expect college coaches to take notice.

Jalen Boyd -- PF -- Basketball Paradise

Boyd significantly boosted his stock at Prep Hoops Live. The Basketball Paradise power forward is a great roll man. He has soft hands and is able to make difficult catches in traffic. Once he has the ball in his hands, Boyd uses his athleticism and size to finish plays. Defensively, Boyd is a tremendous rim protector. His length and athletic pop allow him to deter opposing offensive players.

Jeramiah Raggs -- SF -- Illinois Prestige Elite

I really like the footwork and post moves that Raggs showed this weekend. Even though he could be considered a bit undersized for a forward, Raggs makes up for his size with skill. On the block, he is slick and quick. Raggs is decisive and fast when attacking the rim. I really like how he is always keeping defenders on their toes. Raggs caught my eye in Chicago, and I expect him to do the same for many college coaches.

Valin Ramberg -- SF -- Wisconsin Crusaders

Ramberg's offensive bag is deep. The 6-foot-6 small forward has guard like skills on the perimeter and is a true mismatch nightmare. He can knock down outside shots with ease and is also capable of putting the ball on the floor and scoring in the mid-range. With his rare combination of size and skill, the small forward is set to grab college coaches' attention.

Logan Steffensmeier -- PF -- Wisconsin Crusaders

Steffensmeier gained some fans amongst scouts this weekend. The Wisconsin Crusaders power forward is a powerful finisher at the rim. In transition, Steffensmeier is a dangerous weapon. He does a nice job leaking out in transition and puts plenty of pressure on opposing defenders.
