As school winds down and spring turns into summer, it's a good time to assess some of the standouts we've watched so far this club season.

Here are a few standout guards we've enjoyed from Kansas City:

Caleb Chackochan, 5-foot-9 guard, 2025, Christ Prep Academy, MOKAN (pictured):

A super-quick guard who ran his team efficiently, Chackochan has a great handle and high IQ. He plays unselfishly and gets the ball to scorers. He keeps the pace revved up for MOKAN, which often buries opponents right out of the gate before they can adjust to the speed. Chackochan doesn't need to score much for MOKAN, but he is an absolute dead-eye from deep.

David Harper, 6-foot guard, 2026, Olathe West, Kruse Elite Basketball Academy:

One of the toughest, most physical guards of the spring season has been Harper. The guy plays with a ton of aggression, going after every loose ball and attacking defenses at every opportunity. He has long arms and, though not a huge guy, plays with strength and a chip on his shoulder. Harper is a defensive standout.

Frankie Menghini, 5-foot-10 guard, 2026, St, James Academy, PAC:

Menghini is running with some other ball-handling guards for PAC, so he's off the ball about as much as he's on the point. He is able to make an impact off the ball because he can catch and release. He's adept at probing with stop-and-start dribbles, penetrating to dish or get to an open shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='2415034' first='Colin' last='Pittman'], 6-foot-2 guard, 2025, Turner, KC Lakers:

Pittman popped this spring for his long, physical play in the backcourt. He moves the ball rather than tying it up on the dribble. He makes an impact with his athleticism and size at both ends, handles the point and is happy to make simple, solid passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2423380' first='Connor' last='Rabbitt'], 6-foot guard, 2025, Olathe North, Kruse Elite Basketball Academy:

Rabbitt isn't intimidated by the athleticism of the club scene. He practices every day against some of the quickest guards in the state at Olathe North. He plays fast, but is under control with the ball, making sure to avoid turnovers and make solid decisions. He isn't afraid to attack defenses and can get his own shot. He's also a threat from deep.

As school winds down and spring turns into summer, it's a good time to assess some of the standouts we've watched so far this club season.
