<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Plattsburg Hill star guard [player_tooltip player_id='1160823' first='Isaia' last='Howard'] has given a commitment to Drake University on Wednesday afternoon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A 6'5 guard, Howard was rated No. 5 in the Prep Hoops Missouri Class of 2024 rankings. He was the PHM Class 2 Player of the Year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Howard had originally committed to North Dakota State, but he re-opened his recruitment during the spring. He will join a Drake program that is now under the direction of new coach Ben McCollum, who had a Division II dynasty at Northwest Missouri State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Howard concluded a four-year varsity career at Plattsburg by rewriting the school's record books. As a senior, Howard averaged 34.4 points, 13.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 5.6 steals a game while shooting 55 percent from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For his career, Howard finished with 3,001 points, 1,327 rebounds, 445 assists and 551 steals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
