Continue ReadingWilliams is a name to know because his experience and skill-set should earn him increased minutes at Webster Groves. The team graduated a solid 2024 class and he’s a key returner. His three point shooting and all-around game as a guard will prove to be valuable. He compliments those around him well. In addition, he’s someone who doesn’t need the ball to make an impact. With his ability to shoot, 10+ PPG isn’t out of the question.
Highlights
Owens was a key player for McCluer North who made every game a battle last season. He’s a rugged, physical wing that earns tough buckets. Defensively he’s a pitbull and someone that adds little sparks of energy. His frame is ideal for a small forward. 6’4 with good athletic traits. Mekhi is a player who should excel this June. He’s talented and will be showcased in a larger role moving forward.
Childs has the ability to rise up this list as much as anybody. He currently sits at 62nd and is a polarizing talent who just needs opportunity. His brother, Elijah Childs, was a household name at Lee’s Summit West. Both have that unique athletic frame. Childs is well built at around 6’5 and can make a highlight. It all starts with defense for him. A lockdown guy on that end of the floor. Continuing to add offensive skill will be the main thing that starts to determine where he will be regarded in this class.
Jeffries found ways to stand out for Summit Christian who were young, but talented. He’s a bigger guard/wing type of player that can really shoot the ball. He had a number of games with multiple shots from three this past season. His coaches do a great job of putting him in positions to succeed and he rewards them with made shots. Carter plays his role well and makes a difference in each game. He’s currently ranked 63rd in the class.
A consistent theme on this list is players who have talent, untapped ability, and need a larger role. All three of those are the case for Ba who will be featured much more for Ladue moving forward. He’s an athletic guard that can fill the role of seniors who graduated. Energy, transition play, and being an impact defender are key parts of the game for him. A talented guard who will allow the Rams to reload in 2024.
