And early on in the AAU season, a couple of 2025 prospects are off to a good start.
Here’s the latest:
Jeremiah Hayes from Fayette Ware is on an official visit to Cleveland State Community College today and tomorrow. The 6-foot-1 guard is going to release his top 5 Monday or Tuesday.
Eric Jones from Fayette Ware is still on the board. He’s one of the more physical guards left. Defensively, Jones can be disruptive. Offensively, he can make shots from the perimeter at a high clip. He’s coming off a senior season averaging 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game, while shooting 70 percent from 2 and 40 percent from 3.
Center Josiah Hubbard picked up an offer from Southwest Tennessee CC last weekend. Hubbard, who’s playing for the Tennessee Tigers 17U team, had a good showing last weekend at Hoopseen’s Tennessee Jam event. He displayed his ability to set solid screens in pick-and-roll action, while also showcasing his ability to finish at the rim through contact.
2025
Gabe Davenport (TN Marathon 17U) is off to a solid start, scoring 27, 37, and 24 points, respectively against Team Greatness, Team Mayo, and WV Gold NXT in Midwest Mania. Davenport is very good at getting to his spots on the floor. He can score efficiently at the rim and from the perimeter.
Cade Bennerman is playing with Game Elite 3SSB 17U. So far, so good for the 6-10 center. When talking to Bennerman, he mentioned he’s been able to show his ability to alter shots at the rim, and be an effective rim runner.
