The 2024 Prelude Leauge Southern Exposure Showcase took place this weekend at the Riverview Park Activities Center in North Augusta, South Carolina, and Prep Hoops was in attendance to cover Saturday’s games. These six prospects stood out as prospects to monitor as the Collegiate Live Period approaches, with some younger players playing up into this 16U divsion.
Jonathan Slawson Jonathan Slawson 5’11” | PG Pinewood Prep | 2026 State SC headlines our list of standouts from Saturday’s action in the 16U Division of the Southeast Exposure Showdown. Slawson was great on the defensive end, racking up steals and deflections. And frequently, after he won possession back, he would throw a beautiful transition pass to get buckets on the other end. In the half-court, Slawson is also a capable ball handler and a catch-and-shoot threat. He put up 9 Points, 4 Assists, and 5 Steals in a win over Phenom ESA on Saturday Morning.
Abe is another Charleston Raptor who stood out on Saturday Morning. While his perimeter shot wasn’t falling in the first half, he was still very aggressive on the offensive end attacking off the dribble and finding second chances on the offensive glass. He was much more successful from long range in the second half after knocking down a couple of free throws to get in rhythm and shot 2-3 from three in the last 18.
Langston Jones Langston Jones 5’9″ | PG North Atlanta | 2027 State GA is one half of an AJ Bouye Elite Gold 2027 Backcourt that stood out performing in the 16U Division this weekend. Jones has good strength for a young and he has all the attributes of one to monitor. He is a true playmaker who reads defenses, has a feel for the game, limits turnovers, and can get his own bucket. Jones also made some important plays on the defensive end in crunch time. He had an impressive 16-point 5-assist game in a win over Air Ballers Elite.

Chance Reynolds Chance Reynolds 5’7″ | PG Columbia | 2027 GA is the other half of that impressive 2027 Backcourt. When Jones was on the floor, Chance played off the ball and was a major catch-and-shoot threat, but took over the ball-handling duties and ran the offense when his running mate was resting. Reynolds was very good in both roles, but it was his showing ability that made an impact very early and very late in the game. He started off connecting on both of his attempts from behind the arc and hit a clutch three off an inbound hand-off to help put the game away.
Tristan Robinson
Tristan Robinson
Tristan stood out playing two age groups up this weekend in North Augusta! He is mature beyond his years on the floor and is comfortable as a scorer or facilitator. Robinson had the ball in his hands often for Air Ballers Elite and put his teammates in position to score while also putting the ball in the bucket himself. He is shifty, tough in the paint, and gets to his spots. Tristian is also a very good pick-and-roll ball handler, and can use or reject screens and get to the rim. He put up 14 points against Bouye Elite Gold on Saturday afternoon.
Alex Swartzendruber
Alex Swartzendruber
Alex was a major bright spot for Phenom ESA in an early morning loss to the Charleston Raptors . He brought great energy and shooting off the bench, racking up 17 points. He moves off the ball well and does a good job of staying shot-ready, which gives him the ability to get off his shot before the closeout. Alex is also a solid secondary ball handler and makes the right play under pressure.
