While this was happening I was taking some quick notes about what I was seeing, live-in-action. Below I highlight seven individuals and briefly describe what I saw out on the floor in their specific contests.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
#8 – Carmelo Jones Carmelo Jones Armstrong Elementary | 2028 IL – 2028 – 6’3 – SF/CG – Chicago Demons 2028
“Good size. Makes good choices a majority of the time on both sides of the floor. Someone that has a high ceiling if he were to work on the correct things. Can play as the 3/4 but also has size enough to be the 4/5, enforcer type. Is a viable option to run some of their team’s offensive action through in the half-court.”
#1 – Avrie Aanonsen – 2028 – 5’3 – SG – Team Herro 2029 Berger
“Smaller guard with an explosive first step. Once he gets down hill and has a lane to then hoop, he is very good at putting touch on the basketball for a finish. Great body control as well. If he is every trying to score through contact, he can move himself in a controlled way for an AND1 opportunity in the end.”
#6 – Andre Harris Andre Harris 5'6" Wentworth | 2029 IL – 2029 – 5’6 – SG – AyoDosElite 2029
“This kids play standouts because of his unselfishness. He had several times throughout his ball game in which he could have taken the open shot from three but instead, he made the extra pass to the open teammate. Has some solid ability in his own right. Works hard on both sides of the floor and is definitely someone you’d want on your team.”
#10 – Cooper Crane Cooper Crane 5'5" Caruso Middle School | 2029 IL – 2029 – 5’5 – SG – NS Ballerz 2029
“Shoota! Prospect that displayed great shot form with good shot selection every time I’ve seen him touch the ball. Someone that seems to get hot in a hurry from deep, while being an able passer more times than not. Displays nice arch on his shot, every time he lets it go.”
#23 – Unknown – TBD – 5’8/5’10 – SG – Region Force Hughes 2028
“I truly have no idea of the name of this prospect as there was no roster submitted but he is special enough to still give a shoutout. Someone that can score a ton of points from the Guard position in a hurry. Athletic and can finish at the rim through contact but also skilled enough to create space into a jumper from any distance away. If I had to make a list of my Top 5 prospects from this weekend, this kid would be on it.”
#24 – Luke Cooper Luke Cooper 5'7" | PG IL – 2028 – 5’7 – PG – Big 3 Basketball 2028
“PG that seems to have it together. Sets up the offense, scores/attacks with good timing, can pass to other open teammates, and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. The type of Guard that wears on you throughout a contest. You may not see it but by the end he is usually in double-digits in scoring, while grabbing a handful of rebounds and dishing out a few assists. Communicates well with others on both sides of the floor.”
