With the Grit Region Kickoff beginning the Prep Hoops Circuit over the weekend we wanted to look back at the 17U prospects that caught our attention. Here are a few of the players that I personally evaluated that I thought made the biggest noise in Grit Region Kickoff: Scotty B's 17U Standouts!

Garrett James (Ballers Elite 17U)

James was one of the best players we saw all weekend in Louisville. What stands out about James is his ability to knock down shots at a high level from three. Wing with good size and is a plus plus shooter from three off the catch along with mixing in pull ups from mid-range. Solid athlete that can also deck it for soft touch finishes at the cup.

Kal-El Faison (Midwest Pumas Burgett 17U)

Faison was a big time performer dropping 25 points in the game that we saw. He is a strong guard that consistently won downhill getting to the cup over and over again. Loves to score in transition where he can use his athleticism. Makes tough buckets on the interior. Pure scorer!

Miles White (NEBC 17U)

White is an unsigned senior wing from NEBC that can really play. What we like about him is his size for position, athleticism, fluidity, and shot making. White buried pull ups and threes from all over the floor. Poured them in one after another. Feathery stroke along with athleticism being able to score off the bounce or post up smaller guards.

Nohah Nichols (Nova Village Twinam 17U)

Nichols impressed us in a pair of outings in Louisville. The Ohio wing is a broad shouldered and super bouncy wing. Love his quick burst off the floor finishing in the paint and is an outstanding offensive rebounder. Gets on the glass from his guard spot for second chance points. Burst as a slasher and has the strength to finish inside.

Jack Morris (615 Basketball 17U)

Morris came off the bench for 615 to provide a spark in their opening game. The big bodied post opened up knocking in a triple. Then he pounded the offensive glass for multiple put backs. After that he used his skill and crafty footwork around the hoop for scores in the paint. Finished dump off passes and cut off the ball on out of bounds plays under the hoop.

Josh Moore (Quality Sports Academy 17U)

Moore is a long and rangy wing that could really win off the bounce. Slick driver that finished with acrobatic layups and euro steps. Scored well in the open floor and flashed a nice looking jump shot from two and three.

Dawsyn Miller (615 Basketball 17U)

Miller is a two guard that impressed with his versatility as a scorer. Hit multiple threes, reverse layups, good passing in ball screens, and crisp pull up jumpers.

Micah Shelton (Crossover Hoops 17U)

Shelton is an unsigned senior shooting guard that absolutely lived at the foul line all game long. He scored 22 points with well over half of them coming at the charity stripe. Burst off the bounce and finishes well through contact.

Noah Sowders (Crossover Hoops 17U)

Sowders is another unsigned shooting guard from Crossover Hoops that made an impact in Louisville. He is more of a shot maker from the perimeter hitting threes and mid-range jumpers. Also mixed in several takes off the dribble for 20 points.

Bodin Radulovic (Team Mack 17U)

Very intriguing guard here. He is a creative ball handler that plays with flair. Passes it very well and has a good feel for the game. Can handle in the open floor, kick to shooters, and hit open shots. Scores off the dribble as well.

Daylyn Redden (Team Mack 17U)

Strong bodied forward that probably projects best as a four at the next level. Two things he did very well in the game we saw him was hit the offensive glass for second chance points and knock down several threes.

Eli Craig (Team Mack 17U)

Craig got really hot in the second half with his three point marksmanship along with his nose for the ball. Gritty glue guy that also rebounds well from his guard spot and is active with his hands getting steals on the defensive end.

Kain Evans (Dangerous Alliance 17U)

Evans is an undersized four that presents some skill. The Missouri product drained a pair of threes in the game we saw and then he went to work off the bounce for scores. Slot cuts, hard drives, and finished well around the cup.

Kaycee Guzman (United Hoops 17U)

Guzeman is a thick bodied guard that had a big burst of scoring in the game we saw. The stocky guard got to the rim over and over again for scores using great body control to get the ball up on the glass for scores.

Yamil Rondon (KY Rise 17U)

It was a big outing for Rondon for KY Rise in the game we saw. Creative playmaking combo guard that is a solid passer and can handle it. Scored off the bounce with consistency scoring at the rim on spinning layups. Potential to be a good all-around player.
