We were able to improve by 12 wins this season with a very young group of kids. We got to watch this on a steady basis all season long with these young Braves avenging some early season losses in the playoffs.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">PHD: How did your team overcome adversity?</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>To start the year off we learned that 3 of our team's seniors and top-returning scorers had transferred schools, the fellas did not let that bother them and were ready to step up into their new roles.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">PHD: What are a few things your team improved on throughout the season?</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em>Our concept of team defense steadily grew throughout the year. We got a lot smarter over the course of the season while making far fewer mistakes.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">PHD: Who are some role players that stood out to you?</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1855047' first='Easton' last='Lawrence'] – 6'5 Jr.</strong> - Old school big with great feet, excellent strength, and great vision. Easton is a double-double machine. Big Dakota All-Conference. 2nd leading rebounder in Class A.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2362982' first='Dayson' last='Kennedy'] – 6' So.</strong> - Guard who can slash or shoot the 3 and light up the scoreboard in a hurry. A 6'7 rim protector with a great touch under the basket. Diver is very strong and he is improving steadily.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em><strong>Nicholas Woods</strong> – A very high IQ sophomore who brings a lot of steadiness on the floor.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em><strong>Aiden Uses Knife – 6'4 So.</strong> - Who is very smooth and can put points on the board quickly.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em><strong>Jayden Taken Alive – 6' So.</strong> - He possesses a great mix of speed and strength.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<strong><em>Destinn Straight Head – So. 6'1</em></strong><em> - He is a very strong and excellent rebounder.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em><strong>Decimus Grass – 6'2 So.</strong> - Super smooth with a great handle and good range.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em><strong>Nicholas Joaquin Jr. Fr.</strong> - Point guard who is a very good scorer.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em><strong>Marty Marshall Fr.</strong> - Another athletic freak who has only improved.</em>"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">PHD: Who was your best defensive player?</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"<em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1855029' first='Levi' last='Elk Nation']</strong> would with a very high motor willing to guard anybody. He has led the State in charges taken for the second straight season. I also need to mention <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2362982' first='Dayson' last='Kennedy']</strong> who really stepped up his defensive role towards the end of the season.
