Coming into this game, I felt that Patriot had a good matchup for Jordan Scott Jordan Scott 6’7″ | SG South Lakes | 2025 State #130 Nation VA in Isaiah Vick Isaiah Vick 6’7″ | PF Patriot | 2024 State VA . But today, it didn’t really matter who guarded Jordan. He had one of his best games of the year, which showed why he’s one of the best prospects in Virginia. He got started early, knocking down threes and attacking the rim. He had 10 first-quarter points and finished with a game-high 23. Sometimes, I feel like Jordan isn’t as aggressive as he should be and doesn’t always realize how talented he is. That was not the case today; he searched for his shot and dominated.

Coming into this season, David Rochester David Rochester 6’8″ | SG South Lakes | 2024 State VA was supposed to have a big role. Because of injury and other circumstances, his role was lesser, and he wasn’t the offensive option he may have anticipated. He has still found ways to be impactful all year, and he made an impact for South Lakes today. South Lakes’ defense was suffocating, and David played a big part in that. He finished with 7 points, 6 rebounds, and a block.

Woodside dominated LC Bird in the class 5 title game, winning by 20. The most impressive player in this game was Silas Barksdale Silas Barksdale 6’7″ | PF Woodside | 2025 State #176 Nation VA . Silas’s best skill is how great of a motor he has at his size. At 6’8, he plays the game extremely hard, making him a walking double-double. This was part of what dominated this game today for Woodside. He was a monster on the offensive glass, collecting 10 offensive rebounds. Silas had a team-high 17 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Callen Morrison Callen Morrison 5’8″ | PG VA had a fantastic first half for Woodside. In a very low-scoring first half, Callen’s 10 points felt like a lot more. He played a clean and efficient game and did well as a facilitator. He didn’t turn the ball over much and had 5 assists. He finished with 11 and competed on both ends.
