Brent Taylor Brent Taylor 6'3" | SG Lincoln Way East | 2025 State IL – Lincoln Way East 6’3
Taylor had another successful Prep Hoops appearance. He was spectacular playing well off ball screens, knocking down multiple shots from deep when players went under the screens. In the open court Brent showed his athleticism with some nice dunks. One particular pass off the backboard had everyone in the gym hyped. Taylor has the skillset and game to play at the D1 level as he is one to watch this summer.
Hayden Hodgson Hayden Hodgson 6'5" | SF Genoa-Kingston | 2025 IL – Genoa Kingston 6’5
What a shooting display Hodgson put on during the 5 on 5 games. Hayden started on a pick-and-pop play at the top of the key. He made the first one and from then on he just couldn’t miss. What made him so deadly is he had a quick release and whoever closed out on him too slowly he made them pay. Hodgson made six straight before he finally had a heat check and missed one. But outside of his shooting he was effective in the paint using a hook shot when playing with his back to the basket. He’s a definite scholarship player if he shoots it like that most of the time.
Keshaun Vaval Keshaun Vaval 6'1" | PG Evergreen Park | 2025 State IL – Evergreen 6″1
Vaval is a player who has sharpened his tools as he grows with the game. He had some moments in the game where he was untouchable. Keshuan is quick with the ball in his hands and makes it difficult to keep him in front of if he gets to his first step. He looked good getting to the basket at will using his handle and crafty layups when in the heart of the paint. At times he looked to embarrass the guys guarding him and was successful on most possessions. I’m looking to hear more about Vaval this offseason.
Robert Walls Robert Walls 6'2" | PG DePaul Prep | 2025 State IL – DePaul Prep 6″1
The back-to-back state champion was excellent in the game today. Robert has elusive quickness with the ball in his hands. He gets to any spot he wants when attacking. I was very impressed with his athleticism as he caught two dunks in transition. Walls has three-level scoring capability and is a threat to rack up assists at any point. He’s an absolute scholarship player who has a strong winning pedigree to add to any program.
Ryan Clemons Ryan Clemons 6'3" | SF Homewood Flossmoor | 2025 State IL – Homewood Flossmoor 6’3
Clemons has become a Prep Hoops camp legend and returns to show what he’s added to his game since last year. Ryan is already known to be an athletic and high-motor player. He’s now a much better shooter from the perimeter. Ryan had several shots that made you open your eyes just a little bit wider when he made them. It’s also refreshing to know that he didn’t settle out on the perimeter most of the games either. When lanes opened, he got to the rim with force, sometimes trying to dunk on players if they stayed under the rim. Ryan is part of a state championship squad that has some key pieces back and he hopes to earn a larger role on next year’s team.
