One of the feel-good stories at the 4A level this season was Madras. The White Buffaloes made a run to the state tournament in Forest Grove and ended up coming back home with the 4th place trophy. For [player_tooltip player_id='2387880' first='Seneca' last='Ball'], it was an incredible finish to to a stellar career. The high-scoring 6-foot-1 guard is certainly looking forward to continuing his career at the college level, but can look back on this past season with plenty of pride.

"It was a blessing as the last time we've been to the state tournament was 2012, so this meant a lot as it's been over a decade," Ball said. "I think it's cool because the whole year, I just always wanted to make it here, my senior year, to make it a really cool accomplishment."

Ball wound up leading the tournament in scoring (23.7 ppg) and earned a spot on the All-Tournament team. The finish for Madras was certainly a great way for him and his teammates to finish off the season.

"A lot of ups and downs this season, but it's been great," Ball said. "When we first started, we were trying to play as a team but we were playing a little selfish, but the more we started playing we grew as a team. We just started playing together and great things happened - we won league and beat some good teams. I'm just glad I got to play my senior year with all my brothers."

From here, Ball is hopeful for an opportunity at the college level. He worked hard at building strength and getting more athletic going into the season and it certainly paid off on the court as he showed his ability to score and finish off the dribble as well as hit shots from deep. Ball noted at the tournament that he had been hearing from mainly D-III, NAIA, and JC programs, with schools such as Eastern Oregon, Linfield, and Blue Mountain CC as some of the ones he's been hearing the most. He's keeping everything open as his goal remains high.

"I want to go D-I - I know that's tough," Ball said. "But I'll be fine going D-II or D-III because I know if I play really good and tear it up there I could still get recruited and go D-I."
