<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1218217' first='Josh' last='Smith'] (Madison Prep) - </strong>The Baton Rouge lefty is a battle tested guard who has been in every situation imaginable on the hardwood. His break at the beginning of the season rejuvenated him. Josh can penetrate and kick or shoot it from deep. He is also one of the best rebounding guards in the game. His wealth of experience will help any team on the next level. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1105549' first='Laurence' last='Nathan'] (Carver) -</strong> Nathan is another state championship winning lefty with a massive amount of experience. His ability to take the ball to the rack and finish helps him break down defenses. Nathan is also a knock down shooter from deep. He can put pressure on defenses in multiple ways on the floor. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1278991' first='Aumad' last='Hackett'] (Bonnabel) - </strong>Hackett is a point who gets everyone into the offense. He has a knack for getting to the paint and getting fouled or finding a teammate. Hackett is special in that he can go on hot streaks and take over a game using the drive and the three. His style of point play is very unique.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1105591' first='Howard' last='Gaskins'] (Liberty) -</strong> Gaskins is an explosive point guard who can get to the rim in a blur. He has the ability to finish over taller players or through contact. Howard can also make the outside shot which makes him very hard to guard. His explosion and shot-making him difficult to cover. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1105530' first='Cornelius' last='Brown'] (Kennedy) - </strong>The Kennedy point guard is an acrobatic and creative finisher at the rim. He can get down hill very quickly and finish with either hand. Brown can also get hot from three. He is definitely difficult to stay in front of and is good at creating shots for others. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1275302' first='Amir' last='Chaney'] (Zachary) - </strong>Chaney is great in the open floor either getting to the cup or making the right pass. He is at his best when he gets into the paint and makes defenses collapse. Chaney is also tough and takes bumps to get the rim. He is good at putting pressure on teams. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1105545' first='Greg' last='Manning'] (Benton) - </strong>While Manning is one of the best running backs in the state, he can just as easily step on a college floor. He is the fastest guard end-to-end with the ball and can get to the rim in a blur. Greg is good at the mid-range shot as well. He may be the best athlete at point guard. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1218193' first='Jamarion' last='Thomas'] (Live Oak) - </strong>Thomas may be the most traditional point guard out of this group. He is definitely a guard who will look to get others involved first and then try to get his. Thomas is quick from end to end and has a deceptive handle as well. He is as solid as they come. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1508112' first='Romelo' last='Joseph'] (Lafayette) -</strong> While he is very good at playing off the ball, Joseph can play a very good point guard. Romelo is good at getting to the elbow and making jumpers. From that, he seems to find shooters and cutters almost at will. His athleticism helps make things easy for him at the one. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1455376' first='Mason' last='Lavergne'] (Dunham) -</strong> The Dunham point has speed and a very high basketball IQ. He seems to know when to make the right play at all times. Lavergne is very good at getting his shot when necessary. However, he is at his best finding others and operating in the half court or transition. His decision-making is very good. </p>

<p>Louisiana has a ton of other point guards and these are the best of the best. The state has other point guards who are very good as well. Look for some of them to be recruited to play at the next level also. </p>
