Here, we take a look at six players who stood out in the 2026 class.
Jayden Brown Jayden Brown 6'3" | SG St. Anne’s Belfield | 2026 State VA | 6’3” CG | Team Marsh 2026
Brown sometimes gets overshadowed on his STAB team that is loaded in the backcourt, but he showed playing up on the 17U division he is a prospect to watch moving forward. At 6’3” he has good size on the perimeter and is still growing, and has a blend of skills that is very intriguing. He’s an explosive athlete who can get downhill and play at the rim, he can knock down shots from deep off the catch or off the bounce and he has a lot of upside moving forward as a lock down defender.
Manny Villegas | 6’7” PF | Team Marsh 2026
Villegas is another player who impressed while playing up, and the Benedictine big man is one to keep an eye on moving forward. At 6’7” he has a great frame and good mobility with the ability to get up and down the floor in transition and move his feet laterally. He has a budding skillset with the ability to post up or face up and put it on the deck, he can duck in and moves well off the ball to receive passes and he can play above the rim too.
Daion Jones Daion Jones 6'0" | PG Varina | 2026 State VA | 6’0” PG | River City Reign 2026
Jones is a very talented guard who can make plays for himself and others relatively easily, and his all-around ability to impact the game was on display all weekend. He is super shifty off the bounce as he can break down defenders and touch the paint at will in isolation or pick-and-roll scenarios. He’s a crafty finisher and very good at finishing through traffic, he can knock down shots off the bounce from all three levels and he makes plays on both ends of the floor.
Christian Tabb | 6’0” PG | River City Reign 2026
Tabb is one of the more underrated players in the Richmond area as he’s started at Meadowbrook since his freshman season, and he put on a display at the Tip-Off of his scoring ability. Tabb has many different qualities coaches look for in a guard, and his ability to score it comes off naturally and he almost makes it look easy. He’s a lightning quick guard with good speed and he changes speeds well, he’s shifty off the bounce with good burst to blow by and finish and he’s a good shooter from deep too.
Isaiah Stanley | 6’2” CG | Team Loaded 804 2026
Stanley is set to have a breakout summer and be a big player for Deep Run in the next couple of years, as he has a lot of tools that are intriguing moving forward. He looks the part at 6’2” with a good frame, and he’s a very good athlete who can beat defenders off the bounce and finish at the rim. He can score it in a lot of different ways both on and off the ball, he makes others better with his playmaking and he’s a very good defender and rebounder for his position too.
Ryan Flippo | 6’5” WF | Team Loaded 804 2026
Flippo is another member of a young Benedictine team that has a bright future if they all stay together and develop, and he’s going to be a big part of that moving forward. The 6’5” wing already has good size on the perimeter and he should get more athletic as he grows into his body and loses some of the baby fat. He is a dead eye shooter from deep with good range and a quick release, he can rebound and get physical in the post defensively and he has a good IQ as well.
