Sarracino is one of the sneakiest offensive threats in 5A. He’s on the smaller side for a shooting guard but is as creative as anyone at getting to the basket and finishing over much taller defenders. He surprised me when I saw him against future high-seeded playoff teams, as he had back-to-back 20+ point-scoring games against Cleveland and Sandia High School in the Phil Griego Invitational.
Jevon Aguilar Jevon Aguilar SG Hagerman | 2025 State NM – Hagerman
Aguilar had a stellar season in 2A, putting up electric numbers. He averaged 24.3 PPG, which came in third in the state, along with 5.8 RPG, 2.5 APG, and 2.1 SPG. Though Hagerman as a team struggled, Aguilar was able to lead them to a subpar record on decently efficient shooting splits. With lots of movement in 2A going into next year, look for Hagerman to be a sleeper team to make the playoffs.
Kazimieras Giedraitis Kazimieras Giedraitis 6'0" | SG Menaul | 2025 State NM – Menaul
Giedraitis was the sharpshooter for Menaul’s high-powered offense this year and flourished in his role. He averaged 12.3 PPG on highly efficient 56/36 shooting splits, along with 3.0 RPG, 2.5 APG, and 1.8 SPG. His aFG percentage was one of the best in 2A at 58%, and he showed how consistent he can be from all areas of the court. He and teammate Nojus Zalenekas Nojus Zalenekas 6'0" | PG Menaul | 2025 State NM will be a deadly backcourt duo for the Panthers going into next season.
Kevin Archuleta Kevin Archuleta 5'11" | CG Rio Rancho | 2025 State NM – Rio Rancho
Archuleta earned a starting spot for the Rams at the beginning of the year and did not disappoint as he held it for the rest of the season. His stats don’t stand out particularly (7.5 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 2.1 APG, 1.5 SPG), but his impact lies far beyond the stat sheet. His ability to stay patient and strong with the ball in his hands and exercise the same discipline on defense makes him a stalwart on both sides of the ball, and he’ll be a key piece for the Rams next year.
Aidyn Pacheco Aidyn Pacheco 6'1" | PG Moriarty | 2025 State NM – Moriarty
Pacheco was one of the lone bright spots for Moriarty this season. He averaged 10.4 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 3.2 APG, and 2.1 SPG for the Pintos while playing multiple positions. He’s a very versatile player who can create from anywhere on the floor. Pacheco is also a great leader and brings the level of his teammates’ play up. Moriarty will be in a much better position to win next season as they bring back a good chunk of their roster, and Pacheco will be the main factor behind it.
Jayden Cox Jayden Cox 6'2" | SG Clovis | 2025 State NM – Clovis
Cox broke out this year as one of the better 3-point shooting threats in the state this season. He averaged 11.3 PPG on 35% from beyond the arc, along with 2.4 RPG and 1.9 APG. He was a large part of Clovis earning a 6 seed in the 5A playoffs and will continue to play a large role for the Wildcats moving forward as they continue to be a premiere team in 5A.
