Miami Beach, FL — Sunday at the Miami Beach Alliance Tournament marked the culmination of intense competition as champions were crowned across multiple age divisions. In particular, the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade championships showcased remarkable talent and determination. As these championship winning teams continue their season, lets take a look at some storylines surrounding each team…

Remy Runs (Blue) Runs Through 5th Grade Division

Remy Runs (Blue) left no doubt about their dominance in the 5th Grade Division at the Miami Beach Alliance Tournament, delivering commanding performances throughout the weekend. Their path to victory was marked by impressive victories, including a 36-point win over SF Heat in the semifinal game and a 22-point triumph in the championship game against BCA Elite. Brian Alcantara, Asher Olupona, Adrian Lugo, and Jaiden Remy showcased their talent and leadership on the court, playing pivotal roles in Remy Runs' success from start to finish. This is a group that will be monitored closely as we head into the spring calendar.


Nightrydas Proved To Be One Of Nations Best in 6th Grade

Nightrydas asserted their dominance at the Miami Beach Alliance Tournament with convincing victories over their opponents today. The team exhibited a commanding performance, securing wins against Bates Fundamental with a score of 71-49 and Young Pro Global with a score of 47-19. Notably, Isaiah Bridges, Joshua Clark, and Cannon Washington delivered standout performances, showcasing their prowess and contributing significantly to NightRydas' success on the court. With their formidable display and talented lineup, Nightrydas emerged as strong contenders, leaving an indelible mark on the tournament as they aim to maintain their unbeaten streak.


Team Loaded VA Shows Depth In Championship Run

Team Loaded VA lived up to their reputation as one of the nation's top 7th-grade teams by clinching the championship in the 7th Grade Division at the Miami Beach Alliance Tournament. King Bacot King Bacot King Bacot 6'3" | SG VA showcased his exceptional ball-handling skills and leadership throughout the tournament, playing a pivotal role in Team Loaded's success. Jacori Thompson's imposing size made him a standout prospect to watch, while Jermauri Evans impressed with his sharpshooting abilities and offensive versatility as a wing guard. Trey Roper's tenacity and skill on both ends of the floor added depth to Team Loaded's roster, solidifying their status as a dominant force in youth basketball. With a talented lineup and impressive performances, Team Loaded VA 's victory affirmed their position among the elite teams in the country, signaling their potential for continued success as we shift into the Spring season.


Houston Hoops Makes Huge Statement

Houston Hoops defied expectations and emerged victorious in the 8th Grade Division Championship at the Miami Beach Alliance Tournament, clinching a hard-fought 64-61 win over Team Durant in the championship game. Their path to victory was marked by impressive wins, including two victories over a formidable NY Lightning team. Bryson Campbell's outstanding performances throughout the tournament, showcasing his electrifying scoring ability, earned him rightful consideration for Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament. Additionally, Houston Hoops received tremendous support from Josiah Coleman, Kade Payton, and Drake Autereith, whose contributions were instrumental in the team's success. It will be interesting to see what this group can do moving forward as they have a lot of momentum heading into the Spring calendar.

Year One Was Huge Success

The inaugural Miami Beach Alliance Tournament proved to be an immense success, drawing widespread acclaim as it unfolded within the vibrant setting of the Miami Beach Convention Center. Throughout the tournament, local programs showcased their talent and competitiveness, demonstrating their ability to compete with some of the nation's top teams. As the tournament progressed into the intense bracket play on Sunday, the atmosphere remained electric, with spectators and participants alike immersed in the thrilling action on the court. Overall, the tournament emerged as a fantastic stepping stone in its first year, laying a strong foundation for future editions and further establishing its significance within the basketball community in Miami.
