All of these players are Class of 2025 or 2026 so we will get a chance to see them play in high school at least one more year.
Dillon Dettmering

Dettmering stands out not only for being able to knock down shots, but also with his elite movement off the ball. The sophomore guard is deadly coming off pin downs when he gets squared up and shoots on balance. When the defender closes hard Dettmering is good at taking one or two hard dribbles left and stepping back for 3. His shot is quick and he finds his balance naturally making him a knockdown shooter at anytime.
Dylan Friend
Dylan Friend
Leading his team all the way to the State Championship this past season, Friend’s confidence is always on display. Scoring 28 points in the first round and then another 24 in the championship, it shows that Friend loves the bright lights. He shoots with no hesitation. Friend is always looking to drop to the corner when a teammate drives and when he gets the ball he knocks it down at a very high percentage. Even with someone closing out hard he looks through the contestand gets his shot off quick.
Kinyun is the biggest threat at scoring when the game is being played fast. He gets out quick on breaks and is always looking for the ball ready to shoot. In half court offense he puts a lot of pressure on the rim with his athleticism and ability to attack, so when the defender backs off to take that away he is consistent at knocking down the 3 with space. Look for Johnson to really make some noise this summer with his knock down shooting and tenacious defense.
Highlights
Donavon Villarreal
Donavon Villarreal
Villarreal’s shot is more of a set shot on catch and shoot 3s, but it’s very smooth with a very high release point. His shot release being high makes it hard to contest. Off the ball he is great at catching on a hop giving him great balance to be able to shoot quick. Scoring over 25 multiple times though the year, he can also get to the rim when the defense is taking away his 3. Villarreal had a great 2023-24 season and is looking to have a great senior year.
Tanner Williams
Tanner Williams
Williams had a very impressive season shooting the ball. The 6 foot forward had multiple games this past season with 5+ 3s made. Even had games with 7 and then 9 3s made. His solid base on catch and shoot 3s makes his release and form very consistent. With his good base it gives him the option to attack close outs or shoot quickly, this keeps the defense honest and makes it hard for them to run him off the 3pt line.
