On Wednesday and Thursday March 28th and 29th I attended the EIBC Sweet-16 and Elite-8.

Of the 16 teams there were three local teams and here were the standouts from the teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='1074371' first='Jovan' last='Milicevic'] Canyon International Academy

One of the most skill forwards on the West Coast. He has spin moves into a floater, fall aways from mid-range, catch threes and “baby Joker” makes players around him better consistently. He has an almost impossible spin move in the post to defend versus and he called game to advance to the Final-4. Stock up!

[player_tooltip player_id='2211004' first='Rokiem' last='Green'] Canyon International Academy

A 3 and D type has a quick release from deep and is born to score. He has a tough mid-range pull-up which is high level. He is quick in the passing lanes to collect steals and plays with a motor on defense, as his intensity on defense is next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2365470' first='Dan' last='Houran'] Canyon International Academy

A recent transfer from China who is a newcomer for me. He is physical presence and is very hard to move. He will block shots in his area and can post up and score. He moves well from end to end and plays way above the rim on the break. He rebounds everything near him and he is very strong with next level strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='2211006' first='Jordan' last='Charles'] Canyon International Academy

A dynamic undersized PG is super fast and athletic. He is a dog on defense as he will sit down and disrupt opposing ball handlers. He will throw ropes on a dime from full court to a shooter and plays with serious energy and fire.

[player_tooltip player_id='1178304' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'] Premier Prep Tucson

A lightning quick PG gets downhill with incredible speed. He has a stronger upper body to take the contact and gets to the FT line in bunches. His speed euro down the lane is hard to stop and has good post footwork to score and stops and goes about as well as you can changing his speeds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217316' first='Gerron' last='Jr Graham'] Premier Prep Tucson

A bigger PG with a high feel to make plays with pocket passes, bounce passes with either hand and up the court dimes. He gets to his spots on the court with his IQ, handle and strength. He can make the catch three and changes speeds and uses his left hand well. Stock up!

[player_tooltip player_id='1306046' first='Alexander' last='Werner'] Premier Prep Tucson

A tough two-way wing forward scores thru contact and plays bigger then his height suggests. He rebounds out of his area and he handles the ball well to create his own offense. He is a glue guy for any team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2230799' first='John' last='Meza'] Premier Prep Tucson

A downhill tough point guard can score in heavy traffic. He makes plays for his teammates with feel and court vision and is tough to rebound the ball. He is very aggressive on the defensive side of the ball to collect steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285990' first='EJ' last='Sommers'] Phhoenix Prep

A face-up five man has polished up his skill from deep. He even hit the game winner to send the team into the Final-4. He scores inside with ball fakes and goes up to score. He denies the post well on defense and is very patient in the paint to score. He has improved immensely in the last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='996168' first='Evan' last='Coates'] Phhoenix Prep

A face-up five steps out and can hit the three plus works inside to score. An improved athlete to dunk it, block shots and grab out of area rebounds and score on put backs. He will block shots and he is a good passer out of the post. He catches a lot of passes out of his area.

[player_tooltip player_id='1135514' first='Treyvion' last='Curry'] Phhoenix Prep

A hyper athletic scoring guard flies in transition. He can get downhill with his graceful gait and has the ability to create shots off the dribble in the paint. He has track like speed in the open court and uses it on the ball defensively. He had a game high 28 points in the Sweet-16.

[player_tooltip player_id='1482216' first='Christion' last='Fleming'] Phhoenix Prep

A 3 and D type of scoring guard. He has very long arms to defend and recovers quickly with his quick twitch athleticism and moves well in space. He is an above the rim dunker and he is a sneaky good passer. He can create his own offense but is best off the catch from the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='996170' first='Christian' last='Holly'] Phhoenix Prep

A sniper from all levels. He has a pretty stroke from mid to the three point line off the catch with real range. He can do the one dribble pull-up from mid-range and ball fake into a drive to score in the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id='1077598' first='Isaiah' last='Bronson'] Phhoenix Prep

A scoring lead guard is a bucket. He scores with euro steps to the basket with good body control and good shift to his handle. He is quick to get downhill with either hand and will rattle in triples off the dribble or catch. He made plays for his teammates and when he is rolling, the team is hard to defend.

On Wednesday and Thursday March 28th and 29th I attended the EIBC Sweet-16 and Elite-8.
