[player_tooltip player_id='1295243' first='Yeh-Nhi' last='Wilson'] - Organ Mountain

Wilson is my personal Breakout Player of the Year in 5A. His impact on the Knights' season cannot be understated, stepping up to be the perfect second option for Organ Mountain. His play has earned him a couple of offers and lots of college interest, all of which is well deserved.

[player_tooltip player_id='1897928' first='Erik' last='Saldana'] - Santa Teresa

Saldana established himself this year as one of the best guards in 4A. He scored his 1000th career point this season, first in school history, and picked up his first offer from the University of the Southwest with his play.

[player_tooltip player_id='1897859' first='Marvin' last='Cox'] - Clovis

Cox is arguably the most underrated player in the state. He was voted District 4-5A Player of the Year along with 1st Team All-District honors and has been on scouts' radars for a while now. At 6'6" he's the ideal wing player for the next level and will continue to garner interest from colleges.

[player_tooltip player_id='2022314' first='Xavier' last='Otero'] - Hope Christian

Otero emerged as the x-factor for the Huskies this season. He's been near-automatic from beyond the arc and has been the spark they've needed on the offensive end, utilizing his bulky frame and strength to carve out space for himself at all three levels.

Steve McCaskill - Roswell

McCaskill is one of the hidden gems of New Mexico. He's a hyper-athletic shooting guard with all of the gifts needed to lead his team to success. McCaskill helped the Coyotes earn a 5A playoff spot and earned 1st Team All-District honors.

[player_tooltip player_id='1278070' first='Sam' last='Gee'] - Carlsbad

Gee was the anchor of Carlsbad's offense and showed flashes of star potential throughout the year. He's great at staying patient with the ball in his hands and opening up opportunities for himself and his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1679991' first='Mathais' last='Sanchez'] - Atrisco Heritage

Sanchez is one of the premiere hustle players in 5A. He plays his role perfectly for the Jaguars and has been a large part of their success this season. Sanchez has been clutch defensively late in games, coming up with steals and stops to help Atrisco win close ones.
