He went coast to coast a few times. He’s quick to get to spots and into the paint. He was 2/3 from 3P, 9/15 FG. 5/6 FT. He had good effort on the defensive side.
The speedy point guard with quick hands generated 8stls with good passes up court that led to transition buckets. He converted multiple pull-up jumpers from the corner from the inbound pass with good lift to finish. He has a quick first step that led to multiple one handed finishes going right at defenders in the paint. He’s fast in the open court, pushing and looking. 14pts, 8ST, 3A.
The 6’9 Soph hauled in 8R, 3B, and got 3ST with his long reach to intercept passes across the lane. He’s long, a bit on the raw side with plenty of room to grow his game. He has paint presence on defense, he’ll change shots. He has work to do on the offensive side, but did show a jump hook, and had success coming from the baseline for a few buckets.
Hunter was the Player of the Game for NorCal. He’s firmly made himself a rising prospect in the 2026 class with his showing on the big stage. He led his team in scoring and rebounding, putting together a double, double, 22pts, 12rebs. He made good use of his size going at two bigs 6’8 and 6’9, he’ll have to bulk up a bit, but he did challenge them at the rim a few times. Later he stepped out to the perimeter to shoot 3’s, he dropped back to back 3’s. 3/5 3P.
Highlights
He’s been consistent performer now for the past 2 seasons we’ve watched him. The 6’6 W/F was 4/5 FT, he had 15pts working against a big front line, and he battled for 7rebs, 4A. He’s underrated as a passer, he’s improved his perimeter game using the dribble drive more, he hit a 3ptr. He works well with the ball in his hands at the high post where he’s a triple threat.
