Nassir Binion Nassir Binion 6'4" | SG Vashon | 2024 State MO is a player who needs to be recruited.
The senior has an amazing outing vs. John Burroughs. He had 25 points and nearly all of them were memorable. He has always been talented dating back to his sophomore season at CBC. Now, the 2024 prospect is older, more mature, and has refined his skill-set. At 6’5 he can make a major impact on the game defensively and offensive rebounds with a high level of aggression. Binion is an acrobatic player that makes dunks, lobs, and reverse finishes. A true two-way threat. It’ll be interesting to see how his recruitment takes shape with the portal open now. Colleges needing a wing prospect with a high ceiling should look his way.
Tony Irons continues to win championships.
Irons is cementing himself as one of the best coaches in Missouri state history. He’s a proven winner that knows how to gameplan and dominate during the playoffs. Vashon does an excellent job with player development and that’s why they always have talent waiting for their turn to shine. It’s a basketball factory and Irons is the head of the snake. Vashon has nearly become a team you can pencil in for the Class 4 championship. Should another team beat them in the coming years, it would shake up Missouri basketball. The Wolverines have a target on their back and excel under the circumstances.
Ramzi Salem Ramzi Salem 6'3" | CG John Burroughs | 2024 State MO is an unsigned senior to track.
Salem was the story for Burroughs. His ability to score in bunches and make the transition three was crucial in keeping this game close during the first half. A confident 6’4 floor general who can both score and assist. He’s a player with tons of experience and versatility in the backcourt. A great fit for regional colleges looking to add size to their guard room. Salem will rebound, push the ball, and make shots at a high level. He scored 21 in this final game and gave the Vashon defense some trouble. He was the only player to really do so.
2027s for Vashon to watch.
Jimmy McKinney and Leon Powell are two players who played in this game and made an impact. McKinney looked excellent in both games and Powell was a guy who checked in late vs. Burroughs. He’s grown all season long and stands at around 6’4 right now. Powell is a dynamic athlete that’ll develop nicely over the years. McKinney is a tough shot maker that will score a ton of points during his prep career. He’s strong, has confidence, and makes the three better than most on this team. A legacy player that will surely be a Division 1 prospect that gains a ton of momentum.
