Here are the top five additions to the 2024 Prep Hoops Class Rankings from 4-6A schools:

#41 [player_tooltip player_id='2387718' first='Manuel' last='Martinez'], 6-foot-3 forward, 2024, Wichita East:

Martinez stepped into a big role as a senior, and guided the Aces to the state tournament. They struggled to get wins in the regular season, but Wichita East gave some of the best teams in the state a fight in the regular season. Martinez and the Aces caught fire in the postseason. He torched Junction City for 44 points in the first round of substate. Then he hit a miracle shot to knock of Wichita South. Martinez averaged 19.5 points as a senior.

#42 [player_tooltip player_id='2387721' first='Teddy' last='Saylor'], 6-foot-1 forward, 2024, Shawnee Mission East:

A talented scorer and playmaker, Saylor led a really solid Lancer team to a 14-7 record. He averaged 18 points as a senior and had some big moments, including the 40 he got against Shawnee Mission West.

#69 [player_tooltip player_id='2387724' first='Brooks' last='Powers'], 6-foot-3 guard, 2024, Kapaun Mt. Carmel:

Powers was the primary ball handler and distributor for the Crusaders, freeing up others to focus on scoring. He was also the team's second-leading rebounder, a testament to his length at the point and his gritty team-first play. Like he was all season, Powers was an unheralded hero in the state title run, getting more than 5 assists per tournament game.

#82 [player_tooltip player_id='2387747' first='Jonovan' last='Howard'], 6-foot guard, 2024, Wichita South:

The leading scorer and playmaker for the respectable Titans team, Howard is a lightning quick, flashy guard. A handsy defender who jumps passing lanes and turns defense into offense, Howard is an open-court menace. He averaged 16 points and 3 assists as a senior.

#84 [player_tooltip player_id='2387756' first='Izeyah' last='Harris'], 6-foot-5 forward, 2024, Hugoton:

Hugoton needed some guys to really step up if they were to defend their 4A state title. A key role player on that team as a junior, Harris was really good as a senior, averaging 10 points and 6 boards as a versatile athlete on the front line. Though the team fell short of a repeat, Harris was really good at the state tournament. He hit nearly every shot he attempted and led the team in rebounding over the three games as Salina.
