Each of these guys played sizeable roles for their teams this past season and should continue to see their role grow heading into their junior years.
A high-efficiency shooter from outside with the length to get his shot off high over closeout defenders. Also uses that length to contribute on the glass, get second chance buckets, and defend/alter shots. Jumped into the starting lineup this season and helped Richland make a run all the way to the state title game. Should see a big jump next season with a number of key players graduating this year.
Nice player that does a good job working into the paint off the bounce. Can knock down those midrange shots around the paint at a pretty good rate and shows good elevation at times to get up high and shoot over contests. Also a capable defender that has the burst and quick hands to make some plays.
Strong guard who does a nice job going to the hoop strong and finishing with defenders nearby. Doesn’t shy away from contact and can work angles pretty well around the hoop. Pretty heady defender too who can rack up steals and push the pace the other way. One of their key guys going into next season who gives them a pretty formidable backcourt.
Quick, bursty guard who can play both guard spots. Plays with good vision on both ends, attacking gaps hard with the ball and knowing when to take chances defensively. Has good pace and can stop quickly in space to knock down open jumpers. Also has a nice finishing package around the hoop and shows good hangtime when attacking defenders at the rim.
Good-looking wing who can score a little inside and out. Can be pretty physical operating near the hoop, finds some nice passes off of drives, and can step out to knock down 3s. Can float between off guard and more of a wing/forward spot and is a kid who can pick up some secondary scoring.
Hard-nosed player who gives great energy throughout the game. Can put his head down and get to the bucket, and splits defenders with quick, decisive drives. Makes a lot of hustle plays for loose balls, long rebounds, and gives good effort on the defensive end.
