Mount Vernon has a great season last year with Michael being a starting guard in the backcourt alongside Quinn Swanson Quinn Swanson 6’2″ | SG Mount Vernon | 2024 State WA . With Quinn graduating, the ball will be in MJ’s hands even more. He controls the pace of the game well and has solid explosiveness when driving to the hoop or running the court in transition.
Kings has another solid year despite losing a top player in the entire state. Cooper is a steady point guard who facilitates the ball smoothly and has fantastic vision. He has been getting stronger with the ball in his hands, consistently getting to the bucket and finishing nicely around the rim.
Caden was the primary ball handler and scoring option for Nooksack Valley last season and did a great job in that position. He found his teammates with ease and made his mid-range jump shot a lot more consistent. His ability to rise above defenders and release the ball at the highest point of his release allows him to get his shot off. He’s a great communicator on the court, verbally leading his teammates in the right direction. He is playing with Team360 this summer and will show even more growth.
Highlights
Here is a quick, gritty guard who plays well under pressure. He gives it his all when he steps on the court, sprinting everyone and diving for loose balls. He cack pick up opposing players 94 feet and cause havoc for the other team and creating many turnovers for his team. He’s a great leader for this Renton team.
Brock has great size out on the wing, being able to play off ball or with the ball in his hands. He rebounds the ball very well for a guard, using his body well to his advantage. He runs the floor hard and gives 100% on both sides of the court. Huber has a solid deep shot that has only been improving, players need to remember to get a hand in his face.
