Isaiah Asuma Isaiah Asuma 5'11" | SG Cherry | 2027 State MN of Cherry (6’0 guard, 2027). Isaiah had a fantastic game against RTR today. I’ve been able to see Cherry several times this year and Isaiah has really become a reliable defender. He’s a quality shooter but now he’s become excellent at this level in transition too. Scored his 26 points on 11 of 13 shooting.
Isaac Asuma of Cherry (6’3 pg, 2024). Isaac ‘s top job today was stopping Drew Werkman Drew Werkman 6'4" | PF RTR | 2024 State MN and he did just that holding Drew Werkman Drew Werkman 6'4" | PF RTR | 2024 State MN to seven points on 2 of 12 shooting. He also scored his 20 points on 9 of 16 shooting, mixing in mid-range jumpers with a three and rim finishes. Throw in a game high 13 rebounds, four assists and three steals and it was a full day for Isaac .
Dwayne Bryant Dwayne Bryant 5'10" | PG Mankato East | 2024 State MN of Mankato East (5’10, 2024). Dwayne was two way outstanding. He gave one of the best all around 25 minute stretches you will see. His defense was very strong on the ball and he was all over the place off of it. He made clutch foul shots, scored ten points, grabbed seven boards at 5’10, had two steals and four assists! And that sneaky steal from behind Grayson Grove Grayson Grove 6'9" | PF Alexandria Area | 2024 State #171 Nation MN might have been the play that got them the W.
Grayson Grove Grayson Grove 6'9" | PF Alexandria Area | 2024 State #171 Nation MN of Alexandria (6’9 pf, 2024). Grayson gave everything he had to his team today including two beautiful shots out of the post off the glass, a board push into a pretty finger roll away from the defense, and a lot of low post work. Another double double with 17 points and 10 boards on 8 of 12 shooting along with two blocks and two steals. Another excellent state tournament for Grove.
Isaiah Johnson Isaiah Johnson 6'7" | SF Totino-Grace | 2024 State #135 Nation MN of Totino-Grace (6’7 forward, 2024). Isaiah was incredible. He had the handle for TG often and many times he just decided he was going to attack Ray James Jr to score and he made the Islander defense look helpless. Scored 28 points on 12 of 20 shooting and most of it was at the rim. Also took away four lay-ups with his four blocks, had 15 boards, dished out six assists and just physically dominated the game in a way that you rarely see.
Jackson McAndrew Jackson McAndrew 6'10" | PF Wayzata | 2024 State #24 Nation MN of Wayzata (6’10 forward, 2024). This was one of the most dominant all around games I feel Jackson has played. Defensively his help at the rim protected to the tune of eight blocks. He constantly took lay-ups away from the Raiders that CDH would have versus other opponents. McAndrew scored on 11 of 16 shots including three threes that the Raiders couldn’t step to, he attacked the rim with as smooth an attack as you will see from a guy his size and he scored off the ball too. It was 25 points, 13 boards and eight blocks.
Greyson Uelmen Greyson Uelmen 6'2" | PG Minnetonka | 2024 State MN of Minnetonka (6’2, guard, 2024). Greyson was a two way terror for Eagan. His defensive efforts in ball pressure made even wing passes tough, his transition play with the outlets and the pull-ups was outstanding, and his efficient offense led to 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting with six boards. An excellent all around showing in the win over Eagan.
