Continue ReadingA lanky, bouncy wing, Fuller had 10 points on 4-7 shooting (1-3 3P), 2 rebounds, and a block in DCG’s win over Pella Christian. He’s at his best when he’s playing downhill and attacking the rim, both in transition and in the halfcourt, and he showed that he can step out and stretch the floor a bit as well off the catch. He provides some versatility on the defensive end, using his length and athleticism to impact the game on that end.

Breems is sort of PC’s version of Fuller, an athletic wing who can impact the game defensively with his length and athleticism. He can get to the rim and does a great job competing on the glass on both ends of the floor. He finished with 12 points on 4-10 shooting (4-6 FT), 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal in PC’s loss to Dallas Center-Grimes.
Luke Linde
Luke Linde
A 6-1 wing with good length, Linde made a major impact for the Huskies in their win over Carroll by contributing on the glass and as a defender. He had 5 points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3P), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal, and 2 blocks, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the floor.
Caden Lengeling
Caden Lengeling
Another long wing who can impact the game on both ends, Lengeling showed a quick release and good off-ball movement, knocking down 2-5 from behind the arc in addition to pulling down 4 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists.
Payton Wardell
Payton Wardell
Wardell is an athletic, physical 6-2 forward who showed good court vision and passing instincts when operating out of the high post area. He had 11 points on 5-9 shooting, 6 rebounds (5 offensive), and 5 assists in Carroll’s loss to Winterset.
Tucker Franzen
Tucker Franzen
Franzen was one of four Huskies to score in double figures in Nashua-Plainfield’s upset win over Osage, scoring 15 points on 5-12 shooting (4-9 3P), 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. He shoots it well off both the dribble and the catch, showing confidence in his jumper, and he can create a bit off the bounce for his teammates.
Trae Geise
Trae Geise
Another double-figure scorer for the Huskies against Osage, Geise, an athletic 6-2/6-3 forward, had 15 points on 5-12 shooting to with with 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. He does a great job high-pointing the ball when he’s rebounding, and he’s a good enough ball-handler and playmaker to lead the break after pulling down a defensive rebound. He looked to attack the rim relentlessly both in the halfcourt and in transition, finishing with 12 free-throw attempts.
