On Miller: The 6-foot-3 Houston-bound guard jumped out of the gate quickly like he always does as he scored a quick 11 points in the first eight minutes, including three deep three-pointers. Miller finished with a team-high 23 points and made it look easy.
On Mayes: The 6-foot-3 junior finished with a game-high 26 points which came in a variety of ways from strong drives and finishes, pull-up jump shots and multiple trips to the free throw line. Mayes used his strength and athleticism to power his way through defenders and get to the rim where he used the glass and angles to his advantage.

On Mark: The dynamic 6-foot-2 point guard is a playmaker in multiple ways. Offensively, the junior used his speed and explosiveness to push the break in transition, get defenders on their heels and hit paint touches on penetration and found open teammates. Mark also made high-level plays on the defensive end with his quick hands and reaction time when jumping into passing lanes and pressuring ball handlers.
On Ringer: The 6-foot-3 combo guard scored 16 points and dished out five assists in Redondo’s loss and was one of the primary guys when taking care of the ball, running offense and getting teammates open looks. Ringer’s ability to knock down perimeter shots with consistency opened up driving lanes that he took advantage of to collapse the defense.
Best Role Players: Mark Lewis, Notre Dame | Chris Sanders, Redondo Union
On Lewis: The 6-foot-6 junior stepped into the starting lineup for Bronson Schmidt-Uili and has produced and been solid on both ends of the floor. Lewis finished with nine points and a handful of rebounds while providing a physical interior presence.
On Sanders: The 6-foot-3 forward is one of the top prospects in SoCal’s 2027 class. His combination of strength, athleticism, a high motor and ability to guard multiple positions makes him an indispensable piece to Redondo’s success.
Best Silent Star: Zachary White Zachary White 6'4" | SF Sherman Oaks Notre Dame | 2026 State CA-S
On White: The sophomore wing is one of the best all-around prospects and athletes with the state’s 2026 class. White, a 6-foot-5 forward, finished with an efficient 18 points, nine of those coming from the free throw line which came off of strong drives through contact to the rim. White also made a number of important defensive plays down the stretch.
