Continue ReadingMartin has been putting in work and the best part of his game that has taken shape is his outside shooting. He has good size and strength but you have to play him right or he will hit from deep. He can play off the ball and catch and shoot. He would be an ideal NJCAA find as he can really get downhill and bully his way to the rim but also work the balance of his game in and take what the defense give shim.
One of the most improved players in the state and he should make a high debut in our final rankings update. This kid is strong and he moves like a guard. He has shown he can move and defend the littles and he has also shown that he can hold his own against some of the bigger boys in the state as well. With his height and strength and the ceiling he has to improve his game he would be a solid 3 man at the highest level in time.
When you watch this kid play this year he looks so different from last year. Not even the same kid in some instances. He is attacking the rim and he is just active and he could develop even more at the college level . Really like him at the D2 level but he could go to a smaller school and turn things up in a few years.
I’ve heard from a few coaches that wanted some more info on him and the best answer I can give them is, make it happen, the kid can play and he has size and he just knows what to do and where to be when his team needs him. He shoots it well enough and he can get better from deep but he attacks and he is money in the paint. He could be a sneaky small school steal.
Kersey is tough as nails and he knows how to get to his spots. He can get to the rim when he needs to and he can get to his favorite spost in the perimeter. Pair him up with a big that can set a mean screen, he is going to improve his game and pick teams apart. He plays hard and he has a motor on him. Kersey could continue to refine his skills at the right school. Could see him landing at a NJCAA school close by.
