As the playoffs approach, who are the main teams with momentum? The following programs are playing their best basketball when it matters most!

Lee's Summit West

This is a team that was very good throughout all of December and January winning 11 games in a row at one point. They're led by the guard duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1160824' first='Chaz' last='Watson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1428010' first='Logan' last='Bishop']. Sensational freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2334869' first='Cameron' last='Barnes'] is building the resume needed to be considered a potential 5-star prospect in the class. Nobody has ever questioned the talent on this roster. It was always a question of whether they would gel properly and create the chemistry needed to become truly special. The Titans are a team that nobody will want to see during the final portion of this season. They have size, experience, depth, and plenty of raw talent.

Sikeston

The Bulldogs continue to win and do so in dominant fashion. They're 19-0 on the season and have one of their tougher stretches coming up. They'll play both New Madrid Central and Tolton in February which will be outstanding games we plan to cover. Coach Holifield has the perfect personnel to run his usual 2-2-1 press defense. They have physical guards, length on the wing, and a 7-foot shot blocker on the back end. [player_tooltip player_id='1259029' first='Dontrez' last='Williams'] and PJ Farmer lead this team but role players such as [player_tooltip player_id='1553204' first='Tristan' last='Wiggins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1425731' first='Trace' last='Sadler'] are pivotal to the success. Sikeston is a favorite among the teams in Class 5 this season.

Kansas City Central

A squad that's 14-5 with potential to upset top teams in the playoffs. This team is filled with athletes who excel in transition, play with toughness, and work on the glass. They can score with each touching 80, 90, and even 100 points multiple times this season. Leading the way are Timothy Wooden and [player_tooltip player_id='1263919' first='Brandon' last='Moore'] who are two of the better senior perimeter players in all of the Kansas City Metro. These two are extremely consistent and capable of going for 30+ points on any given night. Central is a team to look out for because of their high ceiling when everything is firing on all cylinders.

New Madrid County Central

NMCC feels like a team of destiny in Class 3. They were champions last season and this year's edition appears even more dominant. Everybody knows about [player_tooltip player_id='1160651' first='Jadis' last='Jones'], yet few know how to stop him. The real difference maker, however, can be BJ Williamson. The senior guard is electric with the ball in his hands, creates chaos on defense, and makes late clock shots look easy. These two seniors are one of the best duos in the state and they appear primed to repeat. At 20-1 they're a team with tons of momentum and a big game vs. Sikeston (their lone loss) coming back up on the schedule.
