THE FAVORITE
(1) Marshfield
Point guard play will take you deep in March. Marshfield has one of the best floor generals in the state in junior Brooks Hinson Brooks Hinson 6'1" | PG Marshfield | 2025 State #251 Nation WI (18.1 ppg). The Tigers also feature top 10 sophomore Chris Pohl Chris Pohl 6'6" | PF Marshfield | 2026 State WI (15.1 ppg), a versatile forward who can score inside and out. At 21-2 overall, Marshfield won the Wisconsin Valley Conference and beat Division 2 powers Onalaska and Ashwaubenon in non-conference play. This group can buckle down and defend as well, holding 15 opponents to 50 points or less.
TOP CONTENDERS
(2) Stevens Point
One of the biggest surprises in the state this season, Stevens Point is currently 20-3 overall with two of those losses coming to top-seed Marshfield. The Panthers also have some impressive non-conference wins over Neenah and Waunakee.
(5) Kaukauna
The preseason favorites in the Fox Valley Association, Kaukauna didn’t live up to expectations, but are finding their groove heading into March. At 17-6 overall, the Ghosts have won eight in a row. A deep and experienced lineup, Kaukauna is led by junior sharpshooter Keegan Van Kauwenberg Keegan Van Kauwenberg 6'3" | CG Kaukauna | 2025 State WI (18.6 ppg), but can get production across the board from the likes of New Hampshire commit Jonathan O’Neill Jonathan O’Neill 6'9" | PF Kaukauna | 2024 State WI (14.4 ppg), sophomore center Andrew Jensen Andrew Jensen 6'9" | C Kaukauna | 2026 State WI (14.2 ppg), UW-Superior commit Nathan Deprez Nathan Deprez 6'3" | SG Kaukauna | 2024 State WI (11.7 ppg) and others.
DARK HORSE
(6) Neenah
The Rockets are playing their best ball at the right time. Neenah is currently on an eight-game winning streak and that includes a victory over Fox Valley Association champion Oshkosh North. St. Leo commit Brady Corso Brady Corso 6'2" | SG Neenah | 2024 State WI is one of the most dangerous players in this sectional. The senior guard is posting 22 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game.
