Cavaliers Jump Out Big:
Christ Church came out back cutting and running the floor in full speed past North HS today. The Cavaliers cruised in the opening game of the day with an 86-43 victory over North HS to advance to the State Championship on Saturday. The Cavaliers had 11 players find the scoring column here today. Junior Adam Brown Adam Brown 6'3" | SG Christ Church | 2025 State SC finished with 18 points, and he did most of his damage attacking and finishing at the cup.
Football recruit Jude Hall came off the bench and provided 12 points while forward Reid Hipp Reid Hipp 6'5" | PF Christ Church | 2026 State SC finished inside with 10 points. Hall plays with a great motor and moves so well around the court while Hipp was just too much at times on putbacks around the glass vs the smaller Eagles squad.
Anthony Atkins, Jonathan Perry Jonathan Perry 6'0" | CG Christ Church | 2026 SC and Jackson Fagan Jackson Fagan 6'0" | PG Christ Church | 2024 State SC all scored 9, 8 and 7 points respectively here today. Atkins was just in the right spot at times to score the ball. Perry a left-handed combo guard showed good explosion to the cup at times and getting to the bucket. Fagan does his damage out on the perimeter as a shooter or dialing in from downtown.
Senior guard DJ Harvey DJ Harvey 5'10" | PG Christ Church | 2024 State SC finished with just 4 points tonight in the win. Harvey was able to set up his teammates and deliver some crisp passes all night long in the win.
The Cavaliers jumped out to a 37-22 lead at the halftime break, before going on a 25-6 run in the 3rd quarter to make it 62-28.
The Cavaliers move to (19-5) on the season.
Eagles Just Overwhelmed:
The North HS finished the season at (26-4) this year under Head Coach Keith Parks. The Eagles were just overwhelmed today by the Cavaliers. Junior guard Stetson Stack Stetson Stack 5'10" | CG North | 2025 State SC finished with 15 points in the loss. Senior guard Amaveon Calloway Amaveon Calloway 5'7" | PG North | 2024 State SC finished with 9 points while Tyler Robinson Tyler Robinson 6'2" | SF North | 2024 SC added 8 points.
Mohawks Advance To State Championship:
The Bethune-Bowman HS Mohawks defeated the Cross HS Trojans on Monday 53-43 to advance to the Class 1A State Championship this coming Saturday at NOON at the Florence Center.
Terrance McFadden Terrance McFadden 6'4" | PF Bethune-Bowman | 2026 State SC was workhorse at times inside the paint while finishing with 13 points. McFadden is an undersized post who really likes to carve out space and play on contact down low.
Junior Bryson Robinson Bryson Robinson 6'4" | SF Bethune-Bowman | 2025 State SC really has a good look to him with his athleticism and long wingspan. Jaylin Avinger really likes to get downhill with the ball in his hands. Avinger has a strong frame but really lacks a true position on the floor for the Mohawks. Jaylin finished with 10 points today.
Trojans Run Out of Gas:
The Cross HS Trojans finished the season at (23-6). Sophomore Caden Ramsey Caden Ramsey 6'5" | PF Cross | 2026 State SC did his best to keep his team in the game today by scoring 22 points. Senior guard Jamez Way Jamez Way 6'1" | CG Cross | 2024 State SC finished his career with 8 points while forward Micah Flute Micah Flute 6'7" | PF Cross | 2025 State SC managed 6 points in the loss.
The Trojans started slow getting down 10-0 with 4:44 left in the 1st quarter. Cross HS and Bethune-Bowman HS were tied up at 37-37 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Trojans would just run out of gas down the stretch.
