A great Tyner Rams team charged into Carolyn Jackson & Robert High Gymnasium Saturday afternoon with their foreheads lowered.

And ram they did, 72-44

[player_tooltip player_id='2207470' first='Kohl' last='Ward'] played terrific, unsurprising after his consistently strong play all season, and yet remarkable because Ward is still a freshman guard.

The guard caught an outlet pass from [player_tooltip player_id='1259390' first='Rodney' last='Henderson'] III in the second half and, despite encountering a defender upon the catch, almost instantly delivered the pill in-stride to a cutting teammate for an unchallenged layup.

Ward's decision-making at full speed stood out even amongst players 2-3 years his senior.

Tyner held a convincing 60-34 lead after three full quarters.

[player_tooltip player_id='1500690' first='Adarius' last='Brewster'] (Tynet played one of his better games all year. The wing burst into the lane, often attacking from the literal wing.

Late in the blowout Avery Ford finished a floating and-1, and his bench erupted in joy as Head Coach E.J. Ward played his youngest and least experienced varsity guys. Ford missed the ensuing free throw.

For Brainerd, [player_tooltip player_id='1942631' first='Ashton' last='Munson'] was aggressive and made his free throws. Still, the teams did not have equal talent or skill.
