Prep Hoops Indiana Sectional Preview – Class 2A South

We are just a week away from the beginning of the 114th Annual IHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament. On Sunday evening we received brackets for the Sectional round as teams learned how their path to Gainbridge Fieldhouse would begin. We will spend the week here at Prep Hoops Indiana going in-depth across the state touching on all 64 Sectionals. Luckily for the fans of this Sectional, Providence and Brownstown and are on opposite sides of the bracket so we should be seeing them compete in the Sectional 46 Championship. Providence has the easier route than Brownstown as the Braves will likely have to go through the host, Southwestern (Hanover), who also is a team to not sleep on when it comes to this Sectional as they have racked up 19 wins this year. The winner of this one could be the team we see in Indianapolis.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Under-the-Radar Sectional</h2>   When it comes to an under-the-radar Sectional in this region, Sectional 47 is the one that stands out. On a paper, three teams are potential favorites to come out of this one and as luck would have it, all three of those teams are on the same side of the bracket with that trio being Sullivan, Paoli, and Linton-Stockton --- who got the first round bye in the draw. That top side of the bracket is going to be a battle and whoever comes out of that one is going to earn it. On the bottom half, the team to not sleep on is the Mitchell Bluejackets as they have been one of the tougher, southern 2A teams this season and play everyone competitively.
