In this article, we are going to highlight several prospects to watch out for in the playoffs. As always, the state of Arkansas is not disappointing with the talent being produced in the state.
Amare Neal Amare Neal 5'10" | PG Tuckerman | 2025 State #375 Nation AR -Point Guard-Tuckerman-5’10”-2025
The Tuckerman point guard has continued his strong level of play into the district playoffs. In the playoffs, Neal has been explosive on the offensive side of the ball. Over the course of the playoffs, Neal has averaged 26 points, 8.5 assists, and 8.5 rebounds per game. Neal is a prospect that I expect to continue his strong level of play. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple months as club play heats up in the summer.
Lyndell Buckingham Lyndell Buckingham 6'1" | CG Marion | 2025 State AR -Point Guard-Marion-6’2”-2025
Lyndell Buckingham Lyndell Buckingham 6'1" | CG Marion | 2025 State AR has opened plenty of eyes this basketball season. He continued his impressive play this week against Greene County Tech. Buckingham produced 23 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals on the night against Greene County Tech. Buckingham has stayed active on both ends of the court and I look for him to close out the 2023 season in impressive fashion. He is a prospect to look out for over the next year.
DJ Hudson DJ Hudson 6'7" | PF Fayetteville | 2026 AR -Scoring Guard-Fayetteville-6’7”-2026
DJ Hudson DJ Hudson 6'7" | PF Fayetteville | 2026 AR has had no trouble lighting up opposing defenses this season. Hudson has put in the effort on both ends of the court this season and that has not stopped this week. The Fayetteville guard racked up 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists against Fort Smith Northside on Friday. Hudson has the potential to put up some big numbers in the playoffs this season and is a player to watch out for as the action heats up.
Jacob Lanier Jacob Lanier 6'6" | SG Maumelle | 2026 State AR -Point Guard-Maumelle-6’6”-2026
Jacob Lanier Jacob Lanier 6'6" | SG Maumelle | 2026 State AR is a point guard that has not had any problem lighting up opposing teams this season. Lanier has continued his strong level of play in the playoffs. The shooting touch has been consistent from all levels of the court this season. Against Little Rock Catholic this week, Lanier churned out 19 points and 7 rebounds on the night. He is a prospect to watch out for as the playoffs heat up over the next few weeks.
